About arriving home that night, the window before him reflected the city lights into blurs and he could hear people party as the taxi he was in passed buildings and boy was he at great wonder.

Mondays there are usually wild when it comes to City evenings. And Victor is seeing one now.

His cellphone rang. Victor Veins pulled it out from his pocket of his ripped jeans.
It was a phone call from Violet Veins.
Victor pressed it and pulled it towards his ear.
"Yo. Yo,Violet? Sis,you there?"
"I'm in." Violet said through her phone.

"Sup? How's it going anyway with your friends?" He asked as the car drove him to his desired location.
"Good, really." Violet answered. "We've gone to places alright. You?"
"Just heading home. I'm right in the taxi if you're asking. The city's wild."
"Yeah. Monday nights always do. By the way, whatcha gonna make for dinner, huh? Some sardines and chip?"
"Too much,I've gone to a restaurant around six. But have you ate already? Perhaps I could make one for you just by your arrival."
"Nah,no need. I've been eating with Carol and my other girls the same hour."
"Okay, good for you. Just checking on you."
"Like what mom told us,huh?"
"Yeah."
"Do you miss her,Victor?"
This question made him go speechless. Of course he loved his mom more than miss her.
"Of course. I miss her everyday. You?"
"A lot more than you'll ever know,Victor."
Victor Veins gave a small grin, saying," Yeah. Totally. Especially when it comes to dad."
Violet got the giggles on the call.
"Thanks bro. You make me think of them, always."
Victor smiled gently, placed another hand onto the phone, and answered,
"You too,sis. You too."

Victor wanted to freeze this very moment. Memories of old times flashing through his mind of mom,dad and Violet. Not just old times, the good times. And they were.
Suddenly, something else came into attention. Not just him,the taxi driver and his surroundings.
There were ambulance siren, police siren, and fire burning a building.
Victor looked into his window view.
There he saw,a house burning down to the ground, emergency vehicles surrounding it,and mourns.
Victor gone speechless.

"Vick? Victor? Whats that sound? Vick? Vick!"
Victor moved the phone a bit lower, saying in his very small voice, "I'll call you later,Violet. Bye."
He pressed it off and shoved it into his pocket quickly.

Victor rushed out of the door to check out the commotion. When he stared at the house, he soon got familiarized with it.
It was Jenny's house.

Victor's jaw dropped slowly but no sound came out. He went a bit closer but a bit farther than those surrounding the house.
Victor shook his head, with hands away from his sides.

Suddenly,he spotted something else, a bit of unusual looking dust.
           It flew slowly,bits by bits.
Victor kneeled down and rubbed it in between his fingers. He narrowed his eyes at it when it flew away.
When he looked back, the dust suddenly turned into green sparks and completely vanished into the dark.

      Victor widened his eyes.
It wasn't just any dust.
It was..magic.
And this magic seemed so familiar.
Victor thought and thought until he's found the answer to his question. It was Maxwell's.
Again, his phone rang and again it was from Violet.

Victor slowly pulled it close to his mouth.
"Vick? What just happened? Vick?"
      Victor bit his lips,quivering.
"Something's fishy is going on here..."
