Chapter 1

A faded sketch of a man was slightly visible. She drew closer to that man, knowing that it would cost her life. She held her hand to call him. But he suddenly turned back causing her to move back as her eyes got wider. To her surprise it was Abel, her step brother. "Abel" she whispered. " What are you doing here?" he asked. "Keep your voice low, they are searching for us" she whispered. She dragged him along with her and they hid behind a wall. "They are here" she spoke as she pointed towards four men in black coats. "They have seen me and they are nearing towards us."

She suddenly roused from her sleep realising it was just one of her dreams. She looked out of the window noticing the bright light coming through. Adjusting her eyesight, which was blinded by the light, she noticed a car halted near her house. She looked at the clock, it was 3.15 in the morning. She wondered who came at this hour.She saw her dad talking to a man wearing a black coat, near her doorsteps. The man handed her dad a parcel and then left.She heard her dad closing the main door and climbing the stairs to her room. She quickly climbed the bed and pretended to sleep. Her dad opened the door and muttered some words which she couldn't quite understand before closing the door.
