*Flashback to playlist live DC 2017*

"Oh hey i know you!" I heard Colby enthusiastically say to me as i cautiously talk to him.
If you don't know where i am, I'm currently at Playlist Live DC and I'm the last one in line to meet sam and Colby in their meet up.

I have met them before. 3 other times exactly but this time I'll dropped the bomb on them, something that's been nagging at me to tell them since the first time we met.

I'm finally telling them I'm blind. I don't know how I'm really going to lay it on them, and I don't know how they're going to react.
I'm really nervous but i guess it's now or never right?

I step closer to Colby and he engulfed me into a hug. After hugging for a little while. Colby releases me so I could hug Sam as well.

After releasing from his hug i knew i had to say it now or i never will. So i did. I took a deep breath and said,
"Can i um tell you guys something?" I nervously say fiddling with my lanyard.

"Yeah sure go ahead" Colby gestures me to speak.
I look at them both back and forth taking in their facial expressions the best I could through my blurry vision."

"I'm blind"
I did it. I let it out, they now know what I've been hiding from them.
"I was born completely blind in my left eye and i have blurry vision in my right eye.

I slipped into depression in 8th grade when i had a surgery that left me completely blind in both eyes and I couldn't leave my room except when i had to go to the eye doctor almost every week.

I've been told I'll never be able to get my drivers license and over all be normal. I've wanted to tell you guys for so long but I've been scared to. I say looking down.

What happened next shocked me. Colby walks up to me lifts up my chin which forces me to for the first time ever look directly into his eyes. "Olivia, you are so brave and strong, I'm so glad you told us..

it means a lot that you trust us to have knowledge of something so valuable about you that you have a hard time talking about. You're not alone you have us, you have me, don't forget that."

After Colby says that i burst out in tears and sam and Colby both hug me together. "You're amazing Olivia, don't let being blind low you're self esteem" i hear Sam say.

And that was the start of how Colby Brock later on became to be my guider, protector, finally durn the night of the Orlando playlist pool party 2018,
My boyfriend.
