We went out of our vehicle and surveyed the area
Troy went and checked out Bravos Six’s vehicle
T: “Van’s clear, there’s no one here”
M: “Where the hell are they” I whispered to myself
The silence gave me an unsettling feeling, chills ran down my spine and I was having cold sweats
I glanced at the scene again, not at living soul could be seen, derelict cars, shattered windows and...
Blood...
Blood every where...
Then, a silhouette caught my eye
M: “Troy, look , over by the green truck”
T: “Hey! Mister! You alright?”
The figure didn’t respond
We saw the person a lot more clearer as we approached the man cautiously
He was wearing a blue shirt with the Cross of Life design at the back and grey cargo pants
It was Phil Price of Bravo Six
T: “Phil! Its us!...what the hell happened here?...we were just...”
Troy was about to run to Phil when I grabbed him in the shoulders
T: “OW! What the hell man?!”
M: “Look...”
Phil turned towards us, his eyes were blank as clean sheet of paper, a dead expression on his face, and there was blood dripping from his lips
We knew that he was no longer alive, no longer human
No longer Phil Pierce of Bravo Six
Troy’s face was filled with horror
Fear rooted us to the ground , we couldn’t move
Suddenly Troy reached for his gun
M: “Troy! No!”
*Bang!*
But it was too late, he already pulled the trigger
Sad part is...he missed
The creature looked at our way
But this time its dead expressionless face was filled with a rabid look
And it wasn’t alone
More undead emerged out of nowhere
They were all looking at us, like a pack of dogs looking at a two meaty bones
Troy and I had nothing left to do
But run...
And so we did...
