Chapter 4 You belong with me

DAN'S POV

Rachel and I spent every free day she had together. We always met at that Starbucks where I first met her... Where I first fell in love with her. I know people say It's too early to know I'm in love. Well I know in my heart that I love her.I know all of her favorite things, her favorite color, animal, song. I know her favorite game to play is Minecraft. So screw the other people. I'm going to meet her at 10 o'clock. I'm going to ask her to be my girlfriend. Unless she already has a boyfriend. She should, she's the most beautiful girl in the world. Oh crap, it's 10:10, I'm late.

 RACHEL'S POV

He's late. Did he stand me up? Does he not like me anymore? Did he find another girl? Asking myself these questions made me think they were true. As I was about to leave, he walked in. He was so adorable. His dark, brown eyes are so warm and loving. "Hey" Dan said in the cutest british accent. "Hi, how are you." I asked. "Great, I'm sorry I'm late." "It's fine," I lied. I was scared that he had found someone else. "Can i ask you something." He asked looking shy and scared about my answer. "Sure, what is it." I asked. "Not here, somewhere privet." He said grabbing my hand and taking me to his car. He drives for what seems forever. Crap, I forgot I told Carmen that i would go shopping with her today. I texted her, saying that Dan had to tell me something and I would be back ASAP. She said, Ok have fun sista. This is why I love her. "So where are you taking me" I asked. "To the park." He replied quickly. Something's up. I don't like surprises. "Were here." he say grabbing a picnic basket out of the trunk. "I thought we could have a picnic." He walked me to this spot that was absolutely beautiful. After we ate, he looked a little nervous. "Dan, is there something wrong?" "No, I just need to ask you something, kinda important."

DAN'S POV

This was it. I was about to ask her when a guy walked up. He was wearing a snap back cap, his pants to low down, and he had tatto's on his arms. "Hey babe." Rachel said, kissing him. "Who's this." I said acting a little jealous. "I'm Josh, Rcahel's boyfriend. And who might you be?" "This is Dan, he's just a friend Josh". "Well, I was thinking we could go for a walk, if that's ok with your friend." "Yeah, I'll text you later Rachel, bye." I said with a sad look. "Bye, we'll finish the picnic later."

RACHEL'S POV.

"What was that? Why were you out with that guy? I"m your boyfriend remember?" Josh said in a jealous rage. "I'm sorry, I didn't think you would mind." I said, my mind drifting back to Dan. He had the saddest look on his face. I felt so bad. I should've stayed. "I'm going to take a ride on these little scooters. Bye." I said kissing him. I needed to clear my head.

JOSH'S POV

What a b*tch. She goes out with this guy, then when I finally get her to myself, she leaves. Well screw her. I'm going to go find Carmen. I walk up to her and Rachel's room. I knock and she answers. "Hey wha-" I cut her off with my kiss. We sit on a bed, never breaking our kiss. She pulls away. "This isn't right. But I'll let it happed" She says kissing me again.

RACHEL'S POV

 I had the best ride. I need to get me one of these things. I walk up to my room. I open the door, ready to take a shower. I walk in to see my best friend and my boyfriend, making out on my bed. ON MY BED. Gross. "What the." I say finally getting them to stop. Carmen shot up from the bed. "Rachel, I'm so so-" "Save it,  and Josh were through." I said cutting her off, and storming out crying. I went to the only place i felt safe. Dan's flat. Maybe he will still accept me as a friend.

Le drive time skip.

I knocked on his door, holding back tears. He opens the door, and his smile fades. He starts to say something but i start crying. He takes me in his arms. I cry for about 10 mins. When i finally stop, he asks. "Why are you so sad? What happened?" Looking very mad about what I told him, he hugged me tighter.

DAN'S POV

I can't believe someone would do this to her. She's to beautiful, inside and out. I'll kill him. No I'll go to jail and never see Rachel again. "Let's do something fun" I said trying to perk her up. I turned on the song L.O.V.E, which is her favorite love song by the way. I took her hand. We danced until the song was over. The next song was A thousand years by Christaina Perry. She put her head on my shoulder and started to sing. " I have died everyday waiting for you, darling don't be afraid I have loved you for a thousand  years," She looks up at me. " I will love you for a thousand more." She kisses me. Man she's good at that. She pulls away. We sit down and I started kissing her again. Just as I do Phil comes home. "I'm home" He yells, not seeing us. We stop kissing immediately. "Hi, I'm Phil." He introduces himself. After a while he goes to his room. "Dan, I'm leaving tomorrow, and I'll never see you again." She says. "And I'm not good with long distance relationships. Good bye Daniel, I'll always love you." She says giving me one last kiss. She left. Now she's gone. I cry for what seems like hours.

RACHEL'S POV.

I'm on the plane and I'm thinking about Dan. A girl's sitting next to me, I think her name is Emily. "Hey, your Rachel right." I shook my head. "I heard you meet Dan. Is that true?." "Yes, we were very close." "Wow that's cool. You know who I really want to meet? Captainsparklez or Jordan. I love him." "I know him, he's like my best friend." "Wow, do you think we could hang out, you seem cool." "Yeah cool, here's my number. Call me whenever." I have a new friend. I needed one since I didn't have Carmen anymore. I looked to my right and saw them making out. It was repolsing to watch. This is going to a long trip.
