The Dragon Princess (Bucky Pairing)

Bucky comes into their little apartment, beaming. Ashley snorts from where shes folding the laundry, seeing her husband grinning like a fool.

"I got into the army!" Bucky announces, holding up the file. Ashleys face darkens for a second before she smiles as well.

"Thats great." She offers, taking off her apron. "Im guessing Steve wasnt happy?" Bucky shakes his head. "So. Did you get your orders?"

"Funny. Steve asked the same thing." He teases. Ashley chuckles. "Sergeant James Barnes. Shipping out for England first thing tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?" Ashley frowns. Bucky nods.

"And we're going on a date tonight." He adds. Ashley snorts again.

"Of course we are." She smiles.

"Welcome to the Modern Marvels Paviliion and the World of Tomorrow. A greater world. A better world." The expo announcer greets.

"Oh, my God! It's starting!" Steves date, a woman called Bonnie, exclaims, she rushes forward. Steve, Bucky and Ashley follow at a more casual pace.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Howard Stark!" An announcer smiles. Howard enters the stage and kisses the announcer.

"I love you, Howard!" Someone shouts.

"Ladies and gentlemen, what if I told you that in just a few short years, your automobile won't even have to touch the ground at all." Howard offers. Ashley tilts her head in curiosity. The female helpers take the wheels of the car on stage. "Yes. Thanks, Mandy." He addresses the audience again. "With Stark robotic reversion technology, you'll be able to do just that." He turns on the switch of his machine and the car starts to hover off the ground.

"Holy cow." Bucky breathes.

"Give it a few seconds." Ashley whispers.

"Dont be like that." Bucky scolds jokingly. Ashley raises an eyebrow and looks back at the stage. The robots making the car hover suddenly malfunction and the car falls back on stage.

"I did say a few years, didn't I?" Howard laughs, somewhat nervously. Ashley gives Bucky an 'I told you so' look. Everyone laughs. Steve disappears, but Bucky doesnt. notices.

"Hey, Steve, what do you say we treat the girls..." Bucky starts turning to where Steve was stood. He frowns noticing that Steves gone.

"Im going to miss you." Bucky tells Ashley.

"Well see each other again soon." She promises, with a mischievious glint in her eyes. Bucky snorts. "Come back in one piece."

"As long as you take care of Steve." Bucky offers.

"Of course. If youre not there to save him then I guess Ill have to do it." Ashleys sighs a little over dramatically. Bucky snorts and kisses her. She kisses back.

"I love you." She states.

"Love you too, Doll." He winks.

At a US training camp. Steve stands in line with other.

"Recruits, attention! Gentlemen, I'm Agent Carter. I supervise all operations for this division." Agent Carter explains.

"What's with the accent, Queen Victoria? Thought I was signing up for the U.S. Army." One of the soldiers mocks.

"What's your name, soldier?" Peggy demands.
