Heat and Soul: A Soul Eater Love Story (xKid)

This section is kind of important this time...Sorry, no skipping! Shame on those who skip... Maka and Death the Kid are very disappointed in you, skippers!

I watched the anime of Soul Eater in subs, so what some of you know as “the DWMA” is called by its Japanese name, “Shibusen.” Also, “Lord Death” retains his Japanese name of “Master Shinigami.” However, I don’t actually use any other Japanese other than the title of a song I reference, but I translate the important lines. Those who are curious can look it up; those who don’t give a crap can continue reading without losing any meaning.

Furthermore, I haven’t read all of the manga, so I’m going entirely off of the anime here. If you haven’t completed watching the anime and don’t want spoilers, stop reading right now and go finish it first! You have been warned…

Next, I assume that my readers know what buildings and characters look like, so I define a few key traits (such as Stein having a screw in his head) and move on. It saves time for everyone involved.

Also, Crona’s gender is Crona. My characters will refer to Crona as both boy and girl to show that no one knows Crona’s gender, as it should be. Crona doesn’t have a big role in this story, anyways, so deal with it.

Finally, this is a love story, yes, but it isn’t your run-of-the-mill piece of junk where the only thing that matters is that Kid worships the reader for being perfectly symmetrical. Even if you aren’t a fan of Death the Kid, you might still enjoy the story for the plot (yes it actually has one!). It’s written in first person entirely from the perspective of my original character. For scenes that she is not present, you may assume that she is telling you after the fact and asked someone else what happened while she was away.
