chapter 16

tori's pov

I quickly ran through the bleak dark forest as tears run down my face. I can't believe I trusted him. He was so nice, so understanding. But it was all a mask. he was the one who caused my race down fall. He was the one who killed them all. he said we would be together for ever. He said he wanted me. He said he cared for me. He said he loved me. No. he didn't love me. He loved to own me like nothing but an object, a toy. I should have listened to them, my family. But now it was too late. He changed. And so will I.

5 years later

As I jumped form tree to tree I listened to the forest. Elf's are very close to nature so I decided to stay in the forest. I sometime miss my home. My family. I was the next king in the kingdom but I messed up and now here I was, a lonely elf with no one "stop in the name of king Patrick!" shit I wasn't paying attention. I stop and turn to them "sorry I just lost my way I'll quickly-" I didn't get to finish when an arrow passed by my face, just barely grazing my cheek. Shit

damn it, I'm too weak. i was to young to learn magic before what happened and without an instructor and no books there was no way i could. so as i tried to run away the guards arrows kept grazing me. i wasn't a fool i knew whose kingdom this is. Patrick, the vampire king. i was very cautious to not get to close to the border, i have heard stories about what they do to prisoners. after i was dragged back to the castle i started to get nervous. yeah i heard stories but what parts were true and what things were left out. as we came to a halt i was thrown into a cell where i stayed for a hour or so before 2 people came up to my cell. The short one had glowing red eyes that were staring down at me with curiosity and concern and the taller one looked on guard. i am so screwed

Zacks pov

Its just like the guard said, he is indeed a elf. Couldn't be no older then 16. How did he survive, and how did he get here. "What is your name elf" he flinches slightly before glaring at me. A cocky one he is. "Tori" Hm, I feel like I've heard that name before..... Oh well. "Tell me tori, what is an elf doing in these parts" "I got lost, plain and simple." I raise and eyebrow "from what i heard elfs are like one with nature, so tell me, how exactly did you get lost?" He doesn't seem to be lying, but I am quite curious. Not only of how he got here, but how he survived as well

Tori's old age didn't work well the the story so I made him a bit older, that's all
