I went home and grabbed the rest of my recording equipment.
"I'm going over to my friends house to do a project. I'll be back later tonight. I love you!" I yelled to my mom. Not expecting an answer, I left. I walked over to his house. When I was walking down his drive way I saw him standing on the porch with a girl. Not just any girl, his girlfriend, Maria. Mrs. Perfect. Home coming queen, captain of the cheerleading team, Mrs. Popularity. For some reason, she chose to date Alex. Sure, he's cute and nice and sweet and funny and cheeky and not to mention mean to me. He is not her type but oh well. They were the perfect little couple. They were talking and he kissed her. I stopped in my tracks in the driveway and felt my heart drop. I looked down at the concrete. I shook my head and kept on walking. Maria passed me and I gave her a smile.
"Hey." I said to Maria. She looked at me and gave me a look.
"Hey emo." She said and laughed a little. I gave her a look and flipped her off after she passed me. I rolled my eyes and kept waking.
"Hey." I said to Alex I said climbing the stairs.
"Hurry up." He said with his arms crossed. The two of us walked inside.
"Someone's in a rush." I said. I followed him up to his room.
" What do you want to start with? You wanna do they cartoon or the acting?" He leaned against the wall.
"Let's do the cartoon." I pulled out my computer and pulled up my cartoon creator. With in few minutes I had made a cartoon brain and showed how it worked in the brain. He leaned over my shoulder.
"Your really good." he said.
"Thanks." I replied. I turned my head to find myself face to face with Alex. So close but still so much hate. I blushed and looked away hoping he didn't notice.
"Well, we have five more days and ten emotions. So if we do three a day then a few extra days, that will give me plenty of time to edit the footage and add anything else we need." I felt my phone buzz and I pulled it out. "We can start that tomorrow. I have to go." I quickly started packing up your equipment.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"It's nothing." I said still packing quickly. I started feeling the tears in my eyes.
"Are you crying?" he asked. I stopped moving with my hair covering my face. He grabbed the camera and started filming me. I grabbed the camera and turned it off he could clearly see the tears down my face.
"My moms in the hospital. She..." I said not knowing if I wanted to finish the sentence. The words just jumped out of my mouth "Over dosed." I blurted out. I looked at him. "She's all I have left. I have to go." I added.
"Come on." He said grabbing his keys and slipping on his shoes.
