Three days after Diagon Alley it was Demetria’s birthday not that she told anyone when it came around. She woke up like she did every morning and went down for breakfast with the Weasley’s leisurely eating her toast when there was a knock at the door. Mrs. Weasley bustled over to it and opened it and smiled widely, “Oh Cedric, come in we’re just having breakfast.

Demetria peered up and spotted Cedric walking through the door with two boxes in his arms.

            “What’re those?” Mrs. Weasley asked.

            “Demetria’s presents.” Cedric said.

Demetria’s cheeks turned bright red and looked down at her breakfast sheepishly.

            “Presents?” Mrs. Weasley asked.

“Yeah…it’s the eighth today right? It’s her birthday.” Cedric said almost unsure.

Mrs. Weasley wheeled around said, “Is this true? Dear why didn’t you tell us?”

“I didn’t want anyone to do anything special. The day I was born wasn’t that special I don’t even remember it.” She grinned to herself.

“Oh well I’ll have to bake a cake and make a dinner. Cedric you’re welcome to come to dinner of course.”

Fred’s eyes glared at Cedric and he said, “Mum, she doesn’t want that. It’s why no one said anything.”

“And you remembered did you Fred?” Mrs. Weasley shot.

            “Yes.” Fred said lightly.

“Of course he did.” George teased.

“Shut up.” Fred growled shoving George out of his seat.

            “Boys!” Mrs. Weasley clapped.

“Cedric how about you give her the presents.” Mrs. Weasley suggested.

Cedric smiled and moved over to her as Demetria sighed, “You didn’t have to get me anything.”

“Ones from my mother, the others from me.” Cedric smiled.

She grabbed the small one first unwrapping it smiling at the scarf inside. She knew this one was from his mother and smiled, “I’ll have to come over and tell her thank you.”

He smiled handing over the large one. She froze as it rested in her hands.

“I swear Cedric if this is what I think it is I will beat you with it.” Demetria remarked.

Cedric smiled and said, “Well try not to.” He stated as she opened it carefully and sighed running her hand over the sleek handled broom. “It’s beautiful and wonderful.” She sighed. “And expensive. You shouldn't have bought it.”

“You wanted it and you never would have bought a new one for yourself.” He stated.

She sighed and said, “Thank you, I love it.” She stood up wrapping her arms around the boy’s neck hugging him tightly. “You’re going to take me for a ride right?” She smiled.

“Of course.” Cedric smiled taking it from her.

“I’ll be back soon.” Demetria told the Weasley’s before dashing out the door with Cedric not far behind. They climbed up to the hill and Cedric mounted the broom looking back as Demetria moved behind him and wrapped her arms around the others waist before they both pushed off the ground into the air flying above the burrow.
