Monday
"So, how did Archie ask you to prom, Veronica? Was it romantic? I would've thought I've taught him something by n-"

"Woah, slow down Kevin," I say while sticking my hand out. "Archie.. hasn't even asked me yet."

"You're telling me, Archie Andrews, who is completely obsessed, hasn't asked you to prom yet?"

I sigh, rolling my eyes. "Yes, Kevin that's exactly what I'm saying."

Kevin stands up, actually getting frustrated at the words coming out of my mouth.

"Why? There is no good excuse, it's literally on Saturday!"

People in the student lounge quiet down at the loud voice of Kevin, but then go back to their discussions when he calms down.

"Archie has been busy with my dad. He has a lot going on right now. I'm sure he's just waiting for the perfect time.."

Truth is, I don't know what is going on with my red headed boyfriend. Ever since he started business with my father and trying to please him, I've been stuck in the back.

Laying my head on the back of the couch, I close my eyes and think. It's 5th block, my free period. Usually Archie has this period off as well, but I haven't seen him much today.

Dozing off, I suddenly jump at the feeling of a hand on my thigh. Opening my eyes, I see my boyfriend smiling at me.

"Hey, Ronnie."

"Hey, arch. Where have you been?"

"Oh, you know.. just around," he says while scratching the back of his head.

I raise one eyebrow at him, and he sighs at the sight of me. He knows I can read him like a book, and as much as I don't want to admit it, he can read my expressions just as well.

"Listen, don't dwell on it. I'll pick you up tomorrow night at 7 for a date. Sound good?"

Suddenly my ears perk up at the word date. It's something we haven't done in a while, something I miss.

"Okay! See you then, archiekins."

With that, I give him a kiss on the cheek and walk away beaming, dreaming of tomorrow night.

Tuesday Night
After dreadful school and anticipation for 7pm tonight, I finally walk through the doors of the Pembrooke. It's about 4pm, which gives me roughly 3 hours to get ready.

The first thing I do is shower, and shave my legs of course. Getting out, I check my phone to see a text from Archie.

Arch❤️: Don't forget about tonight! See you at 7. xx

Smiling, I reply as fast as I can.

Me: You're crazy to think I'd forget. See you soon. xx

Sitting down at my vanity, I put my makeup on, blow dry and lightly curl my hair. I check my clock, 630pm. Time passes when you're actually excited.

Headed to my closet, I pick out a normal black skirt, a red long sleeve with a black collar, and my thigh high black boots. Throwing them on, I spray some perfume and head to the living room to wait for Archie to arrive.
