First Day On Set - N.R Fluff

“Watch out for Norman, he can be a bit frisky at times” Andrew warned and you nod, it's your first day on set as the new character Nora Bones who is rumoured to be Daryl's future love interest but none of the creators or directors are confirming anything just yet. You sit in the chair with your name printed on the back of it and read your script again even though you know every single word and action you need to say and do. The first scene is where you are found by the group in an abandoned building, cuffed to a radiator. When you are called you head in to makeup and costume to get into your Nora Outfit and have the extensive bruising makeup put on, you wonder about Norman who you've not met yet. “There you go sweetie, all ready for a hot date with a pair of handcuffs” the make up artist says with a giggle and you have to admit she's done a fabulous job. You head onto set and let the technical assistant clip the handcuffs around your wrist. It all goes quiet and you get into character, the scene is starting. You hear the others making their way through the house, sticking right to the script and then it's your turn. You don't actually have to say anything this scene, you're meant to be unconscious and near dead hence the heavy pale makeup. You focus on keeping in character as you listen to the others around you say their lines that are about whether to save you or let you die. Norman's character Daryl is all for saving you because seeing you cuffed like that reminds you of his now dead brother Merle. Eventually the group agree to save you and you feel the bolt cutter snip through the cuffs and you let your hand fall to the floor heavily, you have to be picked up now and carried out of the house and it's the end of this scene. You know Norman will be picking you up and when you feel his arms slide under your body you can't help but feel the rush as you are lifted off the floor. You can smell the makeup and leather of his vest as you lie “unconscious” in his arms and you sway with his body until you hear “End Scene!” and you can open your eyes. You look up into your cat mates eyes for the first time and see that his pictures do no justice for the man holding you. “Smile you two! Photo for first day on set!” Lauren says with a cheesy smile as she snaps a series of photos of you in Norman's arms still in character as Nora and Daryl. “Posting this!” Lauren says as she walks off with her phone in hand. Norman lowers you to the floor slowly, “Nice to finally meet you, I'm Norman by the way” he says shyly and you offer him your hand to shake while introducing yourself. You sit in your chair and wait for the next scene to be called and Norman drags his chair over to yours, scraping it loudly against the ground obnoxiously. “Have you seen that picture Lauren posted? we're trending” he said handing you his phone to show you the image on the screen. The comments were popping up quicker than you could read them but you got the general idea and most of them were hash tagging the same thing, “What's Noryl?” you ask confused by the many comments with the same hashtag. “It's our ship name, the fans want our characters to be together and this is how. There's also Richonne which is Rick and Michonne and Gleggie which is Glenn and Maggie and whatever else the fans come up with” he explained with a chuckle. You feel your cheeks heat up and don't realise that Steven had been snapping photos of you and Norman hanging out on set. Within minutes of posting those photos go viral too and fans are going wild over the promise of a Daryl Dixon relationship. “Scene Five, episode One. Cast to set!” the director announces making you and Norman head back to the set. “Let's give those fans something to really go mad over” he says with a cheeky wink as he grabs his phone and plants a kiss right on your cheek while snapping the photo, he posts it to instagram and tags you in it. Your phone won't stop going mad as the notifications from instagram, twitter and facebook come in every few seconds and you smile as you spot the ship name in the comments again. This is going to be a lot of fun, let's just hope the producers don't kill off Nora any time soon.
