Lucy moved to a new school, again. Her father works as a journalist that travels around the country. Lucy has a younger sister, too. And no mother. Her mother died when Lucy was 5.
Lucy was on her way to school. 'Today is gonna... Suck.' Lucy whispered to herself on the walk off the bus. She'd be the new girl again. She has always been bullied because her weight. 'Fat' 'ugly' she's been called.
Lucy finally arrived at the principal office. The lovely principal gave Lucy a greeting smile as she sat down. 'Welcome, Lucy.'
'Hi, Miss.'
'Grims. Miss Grims. Anyways, here, have this.'
She handed Lucy a small note, it was printed on green paper, and signed by hand.
'Ill get one of the students in your first class to show you around... William Baker?!?'
A skinny, tall, blonde guy with braces and glass walked in. He was good-looking and wore a sweater and jeans. He carried a book bag, too.
'Hi, Lucy? I'm Will. William Baker.'
'Yes, Lucy. Glad to meet you!'
'To math?'
He held out his hand, and gave a shy grin.
'Of course'
Lucy took his hand gently, and he walked her to a small classroom.
