Crosswalks and turns

When required to stop at a light or signal or sign, stop before the stop line or if there is one, the crosswalk. You must yield to pedestrians about to cross or already crossing the cross walk. Be alert and look for pedestrians who may be crossing not marked cross walks on intersections and other roads.

DUAL USE LANES- Have both a turn signal and an arrow. When both appear on an electric traffic signal you may either go straight or turn. If you would like to turn but only the straight arrow is green, you must wait for the turn light to light up as well.

-Never back up in an in use lane. Drivers will not be expecting someone on the road to be backing up.

-On a road with three or more lanes going in the same direction, generally stay in the right lane unless to pass. When there is a considerable amount of traffic, however, use the center lane.

-On multi lane roads the left most lane is intended to be used to pass slower vehicles. Never pass on the shoulder.
