Waiting For A Girl Like You -
Chapter 1 -
Charlie's POV -
"Wake up! You've got school" I awake to a horrifying fist across the face. I stare away from my heartless step father as I lift my upper body. I drag my sluggish body over to the bathroom to prepare for another day of hell.
Shutting the door behind me, I gaze at yet another formed bruise on my body. I quickly react by grabbing the foundation closest to my skin tone and gently placing as much as I can on my newly marked cheek.
Checking the time, I sprint down stairs and take a seat in the dining room. I notice a deep voice approach me. I slowly turn to face the unattractive voice of my step father. In an instant, my hair was pulled with great force and I was pushed out my chair and dragged out the front door.
Tears are forced out of my eyes and streamed down my cheeks. Glancing over my left shoulder, I notice my best friend Luke walk towards me. I quickly face the opposite direction and wipe away my leftover tears.
His farmiliar toned arms flung over my weak shoulder. "Charlie girlfran, what up?" His words allowed me to laugh through my pain. Luke's the reason i'm still here today. We've been best friends since the diaper days and we're still going strong. "I swear at some points you're gay" I giggle, turning around and giving him a hug as we began our average everyday walk to school. "No way, Charles i'm straighter than a 180 degree line" he chuckles.
As i'm about to speak, he cuts me off. I feel his manly yet soft hands corress my bruised cheek. "Is that bastard still hurting you?" He questions, I could see the worry on his innocent face. His straight brown hair covering the top of his forehead as his ocean blue eyes stared right through me. "I swear I will bash the living hell out of him if he does anything to you again" His caringness allowed me to feel more protected. "It's fine, Luke" I manage to smile as I remove his hand from my face and continued our stroll towards the school.
I feel his eyes keep shifting in my direction. "What are you doing?" I ask, confused. "Oh, uh nothing" He hesitates as he quickly looks away. "Retard" I chuckle lightly, grabbing his hand firmly and waiting for a response. His head lifts slowly as a grin peels onto his face.
"We're gonna be late, let's go" I tighten my grip and begin skipping towards the enterance of the school.

Luke's POV -
Not wanting to let go of her hand, we reached first perios with Mrs. Clarington. Math isn't one of my strong points. I sit at my usual spot with Charlie tagging along and about to sit on hers, but suddenly Brittany Williams the 'popular' girl stereotype steals her seat. The usual short skirt, tight shirt, fake boobs and blonde hair.
"Oh sorry Charlie, I got here first guess you gotta sit at the back" her sarcastic tone filled my ears. "First of all, put your rack back inside your top. Second of all, pull your skirt down and third of all, you gotta go sit at the back" I snapped my fingers and smirked at Brittany's reaction. As she got up and went to the back of the room, the whole class was cheering.. well i'm not surprised, they all did hate her.
"Strike two, when are you gonna admit to me that you're gay?" Charlier laughed adorably. "Yeah, i'm totally gay" I said smuggly. "Yay! I have a gay best friend" She cheered. "It's called sarcasm, doofus" I snickered over at her. As soon as Mrs Clarington entered the classroom, everything went silent. I swear even nature stopped.
"Morning class" She cherped, taking her seat behind the ginormous desk that held an apple. "Morning" the class moaned. "Now, grab a partner for this activity" I automatically throw my head over to face Charlie, she did the same.
