My alarm went off soon then I wanted. Groaning, I turn onto my stomach and curl into a ball. Hopefully the school burns down and I have an excuse not to go. I hated it there. The people, the smell, the know it all teachers. Every last bit of it. Except my best friend Bridget. I call her B, because she hates the name Bridget. She says it makes her sound like some stupid, self absorbed, blonde. B was blonde alright and she was naturally very pretty. But she was kind, but sassy, stood up for me when ever she needed too, and she was very smart when it came to school.
Me I was a boring, brunette, with light brown eyes, and hair that reached my waist. The only friend I had was B. She's been there since I was in 5th grade and hasn't left my side since. I'm a social outcast. All because my dad's the principal,I read for fun, and I'm very shy. But B says they know nothing about me. And truth be told, I'm very sarcastic, loud, and funny in a weird way.
Sighing I gather all the energy and sit up from my warm comfy bed. Rubbing my tired eyes I yawn, stretching out my arms. Walking to my closet I pull out a pair of black sweats, a grey zip up jacket and my black nike slides. Not wanting to mess with my wild hair, I quickly grab my extra thick hair tie and pull my hair back into a high pony tail. Looking over to my alarm clock I check to see 8:00am. "Shit." I curse, running to snatch my backpack off the floor and run down the stairs of my house. Tripping on the last step I fall on my face. Groaning I quickly stand up, ignoring the pain, and run out the door and to my baby. 1990 Jeep Wagoneer SUV. I specifically asked my dad for it on my 16th birthday. He wanted so badly to buy me one of those typical tiny bug cars, that all the popular girls at school owned. But I'm happy with my choice and instantly fell in love the moment I saw it. B told me I was crazy but I know she secretly loves Paul. Yes I'm one of those people. I name my car, and I think it helps our bond get even stronger.
"Finally! I was about to leave you and go inside!" B scowls as I jump out the car and fix my falling jacket.
"Sorry. I took a chance of having those extra five minutes of sleep." I reason giving her a apologetic smile. She laughs and rolls her eyes. Grabbing my hand, we run inside and all the way to first period. "Told you we'd be on time." I say catching my breath from all the running, sitting in the back seat next to B.
"I hate you so much right now." She says, breathless.
"No you don't. You love me." I smirk playfully pushing her shoulder.
"Your right. I do love you Delilah." Oh right I forgot to tell you my name. Stupid me.
"Okay class! Settle down!" The evil witch of the west yells walking through the door. Aka my teacher Ms.French.
"Let the torture begin." I sigh fixing myself in my seat.

"Thank god that it's lunch." B cheers as we walk out of our fourth period class.
"Thank you god!" I say putting my hands up in a praying position. B laughs at me and I join her. We walk together down the hall and into the loud cafeteria.
"Green or red?" B asks as she chooses for an apple.
"Hmm... how about... green." I say holding my hand out for her to hand me one.
"You say that every time." She groans, rolling her eyes as she places an apple in my hand.
"Then why do you ask?" I reason, arching my eyebrow.
"Because I ask and care about your feelings." She says dramatically as we grab our things and walk out of the cafeteria making our way to the library.
"It's just an apple B." I say looking at her like she crazy. She just shrugs her shoulders and I laugh at her, shaking my head. We sit down in the back of the library, far away from the librarian.
"I'll be right back. I need a book for my homework." I lie standing up in a hurry."Why do you lie to me? You can just tell me you want to get some books so you can nerd out in your room and read." She says biting into her apple.
"Shut up." I joke, leaving her as she laughs at me. I walk down to the back of the library and look in the fiction area. My eyes quickly scan the book titles as I run my fingers lightly across them. I've read most of them about three times each. And I have copies in my personal little library back home in my room. "Ooo." I whisper to myself, the book divergent catching my eyes. I quickly pull it out but soon regretted it when a pair of eyes stared back at me. "Ahhh!" I yell throwing the book at the hazel eyes.
I heard someone groan in pain and I gasp, realizing what I had just done. Running to the other side of the shelf I see a guy holding a hand to his eye. "I'm soo sorry." I apologize. He stands up straight and I look at him with a nervous sorry frown.
"I'm fine." He says, but I could hear the pain in his voice. He held this annoyed expression on his face making me feel even more guilty.
"Are you sure? I can take you to the nurses office? I mean if you want. I feel so bad." I ramble but the small grin on his lips stop me, making me blush and look away embarrassed.
"I'm good. You throw hard you know." He says, pulling his hand down. I haven't seen him before. And he most definitely hadn't seen me either. I mean, no body ever really sees me.
"Or its just because a book hit your eye." I say, sarcastically. He just looks at me with an amused smirk. "Oh god. That was rude of me. Anyways I should... you know... I'm just gonna go." I quickly speed walk away and throw myself in next to B. She looks at me and my flustered red cheeks with an amused smile, putting her phone down.
"What happened to you?" She asks.
"I kinda just threw a book at some guy's eye." I say embarrassed as I pull my long hair to my front and start petting it down. I do this when I'm nervous, anxious, embarrassed, bored, really at any time.
"You what?" She whisper yells in between laughs.
"Your the worst." I groan as I put my head in my hands.
"I know." She says going back to scrolling through her phone.

School had just ended and sadly B couldn't hang out because she had study group. She needed it so I didn't complain much. I kinda want to graduate with my best friend. I drove back home, blasting the music loudly and singing my heart out. "Baby, baby..." I love Justin Bieber. He was my one true love.
Pushing through the front door I walk in and walk down the darkly lit hallway and to my fathers office. Knocking on the door I open it and see two guys sitting in front of my dad's desk. My dad looked up and saw me, smiling he waved me in. "Sorry to interrupt. But what did you want for dinner?" I ask shyly, taking a step inside.
"Delilah. Meet Mr.Stone and his son Ryder." My dad smiled holding his hand out, and gesturing to the two pair of eyes that looked at me. Ryder, aka and as cliche as this is, the guy I threw a book at. Ryder looks at me amused as I stand shocked.
"We've meet." Is all I say. Mr.Stone looks at Ryder confused making Ryder enjoy this all too much.
"Really? How?" My dad asks, equally as shocked as Mr.Stone.
"We met in the library." Ryder spoke up, sitting in the chair comfortably. Blushing I nod my head at my suspicious dad.
"Yup. We did. Anyways... dinner?" I ask pointing behind me, really wanting to leave. I was still so embarrassed. I mean who throws a book at someone?! Poor book.
"Make dinner for three. Whatever Ryder wants." My dad smiled.
"Wait? Ryder's staying for dinner?"
"Yes He is." My dad said nodding.
"Actually I'm staying for two months." Ryder smirks, watching as my face goes from confused, shocked, and stunned.
"Wait, What?"
