"Where were you at lunch?" I asked, speaking into my phone. B never showed up for lunch and I was worried because she always shows up. And I wanted Charlie to meet my best friend. Ryder made me flustered and annoyed and I really needed my best friend.

"Sorry. My mom picked me up early and we ate at chubby's and forgot to call you." She explained.

"Well that makes total sense now. You love food so much you forgot all about your best friend." I laugh as I walk around my room in just my black sweats, and white spaghetti strap top, along with my fuzzy cupcake socks.

"Shut up. Your exactly the same way." She scoffs in a joking manner.

"True. That's why we're friends. Because we're so much alike." I say laughing. After me and B talked for a few minutes, she had to go and study for some test tomorrow. Sighing I got bored of just scrolling through my phone and was about to walk down stairs and eat some ice cream. But then remembered that I ate it all two days ago. Groaning I think of what to do and I didn't really feel like going out by myself.

"Ryder?" I groan dramatically, dropping face first in Ryder's bed. Ryder slept in the guest bedroom right next to me, my dad wanted to make sure he didn't get lost so he put him right next to me.

"Yes cupcake." Ryder laughed pausing the fortnite game and turned to me.

"I'm starving." I groan into the pillow. Turning my head I see Ryder rolling his eyes and smiling.

"Go make something to eat then." He says in a duh tone, spinning his chair back to the game.

"But I'm starving for ice cream!" I whine. Ryder sighs and turned around again and looked at me for a moment, thinking.

"Fine. But you have to change your shirt before we leave. I'll take you to any ice cream shop you want and pay." He offers.

"Deal!" I jump up and throw my arms around him but then realize what I was doing and pulled back blushing. "I'll just go do that right now." I say rushing out the room. I pulled my dad's grey shirt over my head and then rushed and pulled my shoes on. Running down the stairs I trip on the last step and look up at a amused Ryder. "What are you waiting for? Let's go!" I said standing up and grabbing Ryder's hand and leading him outside to Paul.

"I'm driving." Ryder said walking to my side of the car.

"What? But this is my baby Paul. You can't drive him. He's never been driven by anyone else!" I complain.

"Then no ice cream I guess." He smirks crossing his arms. I think between my baby and ice cream.

"Fine." I groan throwing my keys at him, which he successfully catches, and walk around to the other side of the getting in. "This feels so..." I start thinking of the right word. Ryder looking at me with amusement. "foreign." I shiver. Ryder chuckled and starts the car, backing slowly out the driveway.

"Paul?" He says looking at me at the corner of his eye with a teasing smirk.

"Shut up." I scoff rolling my eyes. I couldn't help the small grin come to the corner of my lips as I stared out the window.  We reached Baskin Robbins in no time, and I couldn't wait to get my ice cream. Rushing out the car I wait impatiently for Ryder to turn off the car and walk to my side. "You walk slower than a 90 year old grandma." I say, grabbing him and pulling him inside. We waited in the line, three people in front of us. I tapped my chin with my finger, as I decided upon vanilla, my usual, or rainbow sherbet, when my hair blew in my face.

Ryder laughs at this making me turn to him with a glare. He smirks lifting his hand and slowly placing his hand near my hair and pushing it back slowly. He looked me in the eyes, making me turn a deep shade of red. He smiles at this and I cough awkwardly and turn back around to the menu. "Next." The guy at the cashier says in a bored tone.

"Can I get strawberry flavored ice cream with gummy bears in a cup." Ryder says. I look up at Ryder and smirk at him, amused. He noticed this and looked at me scoffing.

"And for you cutie?" The guy says turning to me. Blushing I laugh at his comment. I don't take compliments good.

"Vanilla ice cream with extra rainbow sprinkles in a cup too  please." I say quietly, still embarrassed. Ryder growls deeply, only I could hear, and I feel him grip my waist and pull my closer. I look up at him and see him having a staring contest with the ice cream guy. Eventually the man looks away and goes to get our orders.

"What are you doing?" I said confused. His hand on me gave me tingles, making me flustered.

"He was totally hitting on you. I saved you." He shrugs looking down at me with an innocent grin.

"What if I didn't want saving? He was kinda cute." I smirk, just trying to mess with him. Ryder looked at me with raised eyebrows and a slightly amused smirk.

"Really?" He challenged. I blushed, slowly nodding my head almost uncertain. "Then how come you haven't let go of my hand yet?" He smirked and holding our enlaced hand up. Blushing I try and pull my hand away. "I never said I minded." He whispers.

"Here you go. That'll be $10.37." The guy says coming back. Ryder smirks and looks at the guy taking the ice creams and handing them to me. I look at Ryder's yummy gummy bears and look at him as he was busy paying. Walking to a two person table I sit down and take a picture of mines and Ryder's ice creams.

I couldn't help taking a bite of Ryder's ice cream with my spoon. "Hmmm." I moan closing my eyes in pleasure.

"I think your enjoying my ice cream too much." Ryder says making me jolt I my seat. Looking up I see a smirking amused Ryder looking down at me.

"I couldn't help it." I say apologetically, with a blush. He chuckled, shaking his head and joining me at the table.

"Mr.badboy likes strawberry ice cream and gummy bears?" I say teasingly. Ryder looks up from his ice cream that he was devouring. He quirked his eyebrow as if he was confused.

"And? Your boring. You like vanilla." He says in defense.

"I wasn't implying anything. But just so you know I don't always order vanilla. My usual is rainbow sherbet but I felt like switching it up." I said shrugging my shoulders. Ryder smirks, placing his empty cup on the table.

"If you really wanna switch things up..." He smirks, putting his hand on my knee under the table. My eyes widen a fraction, my cheeks burning red.

"What are you doing Ryder?" I say, unable to move. I've never been in a situation like this before and I kinda don't mind.

"Does my hand bother you?" He asked looking me in the eyes with a smirk. I shook my head, not trusting my voice. "So you wouldn't mind if I did this?" His hand moved further up.

"What are you doing?" I asked him in a low whisper, my heart rate going up just by the touch of his hand.

"Switching it up." He shrugged with teasing smirk. He looked at me for a while longer, his hand lingering, before he pulled back and grabbed his empty cup of ice cream and stood up to throw it away.

"Jesus." I huff under my breath.

"Are you coming?" Ryder asked from the door. I grabbed my almost empty cup and threw it in the trash, following suit of Ryder. The car ride back home was filled with silence, just the music humming in the background. It was almost 6, the sun still bright and high. When we got home, Ryder gave me my keys back, and I went straight to my room, not really knowing what to say. I grew tired, so I stripped my clothes and pulled my pj short shorts on, and left my dad's shirt on. It was long and reached the middle of my thigh. Pulling my hair in a bun I walk to my bed and scroll through my phone before drifting to sleep.
