Tristan heard Amelie let out a soft giggle when he tickled her neck with his assault of quick loving kisses, as she stood by the stove cooking them a very late breakfast.
He felt completely enamored by her when he heard her giggle, the sound of her pure happiness was what he loved hearing most, seeing her happy was even better, and he was well aware that he was the reason for her happiness. She had admitted that to him when he had made love to her again after their intimate moment within the shower. She had once again clung to him and whispered her truth to him the very moment her pleasure climaxed, and he knew that with her he was finally whole.
" You have always been my one and only happiness." He heard her whispered words within his mind, as he let himself float back to that moment. He took her chin into his hand and forced her to face him.
" I love you Amelie." He saw her smile, and once again needed to feel her lips against his. Saying those three words to her felt so very right, and he realised that he had only ever lusted for Laura, he had never loved her, it had been Amelie who had always held his heart. He kissed her passionately and deeply, loving the feeling of her letting herself fall into him, and sigh softly into his mouth as she did.
Reluctantly he pulled away, but not before kissing her softly on the cheek, and made his way over to the window near the lounge suite, and looked outside at the day. The sky was blue, and not a single cloud was to be seen. The warmth of the sun graced him, making him turned his head upward, closing his eyes he enjoyed the feeling of the suns warm rays. After a few moments he opened his eyes, and looked down at the street below, and a jolt coursed through him when his eyes came to rest on a man who was standing on the pavement, staring directly up at him.
" Amelie?" He called to her in question, keeping his eyes locked on the man below. He heard her faintly reply with a happy hum while he watched the man stare at him.
" These windows, can anyone see from the outside in?" He asked, as an unsettling feeling washed over him. Silence greeted him for a few long seconds, and then finally Amelie spoke to him.
" No, not during the day, they act as a mirror during the day. It is only at night that anyone outside can see in, if lights are on that is." Tristan's heart jumped in his chest when he heard her answer, and knew that the unsettled feeling was due because of the man below, and he simply couldn't take his eyes from him.
" Why do you ask?" He heard her say, but he didn't respond. He was feeling too uneasy due to the mans presence and was left speechless.
After a few minutes had passed, he felt Amelie come to stand beside him and instantly heard her gasp.
" Oh no." Tristan heard her say, and turned his head away from the window for the first time since he had seen the man in order to look at her.
" What?" He asked, as he watched her recoil from the window slowly, an expression of fear washed over her facial features, and instantly with seeing her act in such a way, fear gripped him.
" It can't be. I knew it. I just knew it." She said more to herself, as she shook her head back and forth. Tristan stepped closer to her and placed his hand on her arm gently.
" Amelie, knew what? Talk to me baby. Who is that?" Amelie looked at him, and he saw tears begining to well in her eyes along with intense fear. She continued to shake her head back and forth while muttering no over and over again in soft whispers.
" Amelie?" He watched her simply stare at him, aware that she was unable to speak due to her fear, and he felt even more worried as she began to shake.
" Baby, speak to me."
" He is a client Tristan." She finally voiced, and he turned his head back to look over at the man, keeping his eyes on him for a few long seconds before turning his gaze back to Amelie.
