Chapter one

It was still dark outside,the sky was grey,as usual and the air was cold,the kind of air who send shiver all over your spine.
The streets were quiet,no one was outside yet.
It was 7 in the morning,the day will start soon,people will get to work,children will go to school,life will rise again.
But you see,in this perfect life,something is missing or more like,someone,where are all the women,girls?
They're just...gone?
A 100 years ago,a big fight exploded between men and women,the women,sick of being not as powerful as the men tried to make things change but nothing went as planned.The male population were so angry at them that they decided that they weren't worth it,that they were just useless now.
So a group of influent men took control of all the government,saying that they had a solution to all these problems.So,behind the back of all the population,they created a virus called the BTS-D8,created to attack and to kill the women's immunity system.They claimed that these pills were a new vitamin,for girls to get stronger,to be the men's equal but in fact,they all swallowed their death sentences.
One by one,girls and women died after they took the BTS-D8.
Only a group of girls,called the « white mark » ran away before they were forced to take the pills,knowing that something was wrong.
Some people say that they escaped by the sea,but all of this is just a legend.
We never saw them,it's like they were just a made up story to make kids go to sleep.
So when the rest of the world understood that the government killed all the woman,
they wanted answers,they were angry,in pain.
They lost sisters,wives,friends...
And they were scared,how could they have children without women?
How could the world survive this?
The government answer was called Cami,a machine who recreated the whole female reproductive system.And the particularity of this system was that it automatically choose the boy's gender over the female one.So,the population will still grow,the world will still works but,without women on it.
With this new system,the world was more strict,more hard,more dangerous.
And with this new system,came new rules.
Love is forbidden now,people can't have feelings,relations either,society made the new generation think that love was only a waste of time and energy.
And that's how the world works now,you want a child,you pay,you gave your DNA code and sperm,you go see Cami,and she gaves you a little boy.
And this worked for more than 100 years.
Until Paul Anderson,a middle aged lonely man decided to have a child,so he paid,he went to see Cami,and as planned she gaves him a child but when he get back home,what was his surprise when he saw that it was not a boy but a little girl?
At first he wanted to give her back to Cami,but he knew what was going to happen to her,she was his child after all.So,he took a big decision,the biggest decision of his life and he kept her,promising himself that he will keep her safe.And he kept his promise for more than 19 years.
