“Wren, I have to put my foot down. Your antics are going too far now. You’re starting to act out like Oskar used to. It’s simply not acceptable,” Kenneth said through clenched teeth.

“You’re being very dominating!” Renny snapped. “So what if I recruited two new blokes to join our cause! They’re eager to help us and they know how to fight. That’s more than enough to use in determining their usefulness.”

“I don’t know,” Wade said, making a face. “They’re hella weird. The life-size Ken doll was asking if we had a forge that he could use. And he asked if I had a spare tunic. A tunic, Little Bird. God, no one in their right mind has owned a tunic since 1998!”

“Yeah,” Brody said with a nasty type face. “That Merman one was asking for an alchemy table. Do those even still exist? I’m almost certain they’re playing left field here...”

“That’s a real shame, too,” Wade sighed. “They were pretty.”

“You guys are so blind!” Renny exclaimed. “They can help us turn this whole rebellion around! We’ve been needing some sort of intervention here for a good long while.”

“It’s out of the question,” Kenneth snapped.

“Hold up,” Shay said loudly, cutting everyone off. “You’re really going to be this stupid? Two capable, hardened warriors of an ancient kingdom-- the most powerful and prosperous kingdom ever, mind you-- show up, basically begging to join your cause and you’re trying to dismiss them as a bad job? That’s pure idiocy!”

“You’re the one being stupid, Shay,” Brody shot back.

“No that’s still y’all,” she seethed. “Brody, you’re just being like this because you’re jealous. And Kenneth, you’re feeling threatened. You know that you’re trying to take all power for yourself and you also know that Arthur could easily take it from you. The best part is this: You both are trying to protect things that you don’t even have. I will not sit here and let this opportunity go by because of such petty concerns.”

“Then why don’t we vote on it?” Kenneth growled. “On the acceptance of Merlin and Arthur Pendragon into our cause, state your opinion.”

    “Nay,” he began.

    “Nay,” wade seconded.

“Yea!” Renny snapped loudly, frowning over at Wade in surprise.

“Yea!” Shay seconded quickly, with a steely gaze at Kenneth.

“Yea...” Brody grumbled, not meeting anyone’s gaze.

    “Ha!” Shay yelled smugly.

“Thank you, Brody,” Renny said with a broad grin. “I can absolutely assure you that you’ve made the right choice.”

“Yeah, whatever,” he snapped, getting up and storming out of the tent.

Immediately, Renny went back to the tent she had pitched for Merlin and Arthur shortly after their initial arrival at camp. Kenneth refused to give them any supplies from camp so of course, Renny bent the rules a bit.s he got her own supplies (from the camp, obviously) and charitably took the tow young men in.

“Well boys,” she sighed, putting her hands on her hips with a slight smirk. “Welcome to hell, officially. You get to stay.”

Merlin grinned and Arthur raised a bottle of beer in cheers. He took a swig and  made a disgusted face.

“That was foul,” he spat, setting the bottle away from himself.

“It was Bud Light. What did you expect?”
