Chapter 10

"Good morning, Min!" I greeted her while I caught her doing something on the sink.

She craned her neck and smiled at me. "Magandang umaga po, Ma'am Syltiel."

I giggled. "Where's Lawrence?" I asked her.

"Nasa kwarto pa po, Ma'am Syltiel. Baka gising na pero hindi pa bumabangon. Minsan kasi gano'n siya, eh."

I nodded. "Can I go inside the room?" I requested.

"Sige po. Gisingin niyo na rin po siya."

"Okay!"

I walked towards their room and I swayed the curtain that serves as a door. I saw Lawrence looking up to the ceiling and his arm was on his forehead.

"Good morning, Rence!" I immediately sat on the edge of the wooden bed.

He seems startled with what I did and with my presence early this morning.

"Ba't ka nandito?" He asked in a half-asleep tone. It was husky and a little rough. That was a huge turn on for me.

"Min said I should wake you up. It seems like you wake up late today. Did you stay up late last night? What time did you sleep?"

He looked at me and sat on the bed. "Halos madaling-araw na akong nakatulog kagabi. Tinatamad pa nga akong tumayo ngayon."

"Well, I think you need to get up na because Min requested me to do it and one more thing, can we go back to the beautiful river once again?" Ipinagdikit ko ang dalawang palad ko sa harapan niya. "Please? It's been days since I went there. I miss the place already, Rence."

His mouth parted for a little bit. "Kapag natapos na ang mga dapat gawin baka pwede na tayong pumunta ulit doon, Syltiel."

I pouted. "But I want to go now na, Rence. Take me there na, pleaseee?"

I'm so glad Femmy made sure that the place I accidentally discovered with Tala was safe and she agreed that Lawrence will be taking me there—only if his time was available. She never really let me go there alone again.

"Syltiel, kailangan na muna nating tapusin ang mga kailangan gawin dito bago tayo pumunta doon. At saka, kapag may libreng oras lang kami pumupunta doon."

"But I really want to go now, Rence. I think the water feels great there. I also want to take a bath there!"

His eyes widened and he was coughing already.

"What? Did I say something wrong?"

Nag-iwas siya ng tingin sa akin and I saw his cheeks flushed in red already.

"Rence?" I grabbed his chin by using my two fingers and made him face me.

"W-Wala."

"What's wala? You're blushing kaya!" I claimed at him.

"Wala nga. Tara na nga. Tulungan na natin sila sa mga gawain dito." He quickly got up from the bed and brushed his fingers through his messy and long hair.

"Wait," I stopped him and then grabbed his arm. I made him face me again. "You should groom yourself properly, Rence. Yes, you're gwapo but it'll add to your appeal that you'll comb your hair—especially when it's that long."

I searched the room and found the comb that is for him. I took that and comb his long hair. Now I can feel how silky it was.

Good thing our heights didn't differentiate that much so I can really easily reach him.

Now that I am this near to him, his morning smell smells good. It was not the smell that I usually encounter but when it comes to him, it really has a big difference.
