Jolteon opened his eyes,his body shaking. All he could remember was Xerneas and Yvetal battling, and he and his siblings raced in the cave. Had... they survived? Jolteon got up, stretched out a bit, and slowly walked outside. What he saw horrified him. The earth itself was leveled in different ways. There was fire in different directions. All the trees were snapped broken as if they were sticks. So many Pokemon bodies laid everywhere. Jolteon didn't see any signs of Xerneas and Yvetal.
Jolteon didn't move, or believe that they actually survived. Is... is this a dream? He wondered. He bit himself just to be sure. Nope, it wasn't a dream.
He went back inside. He asked softly,"Is everyone ok?"
The rest of the Eeveelutions woke up, stretched out a bit, and nodded.
Flareon asked, voice shaking," Have.... we...... survived?"
"Apparently," Jolteon said.
"How does it look outside?" Leafeon whispered.
Jolteon shivered. "Terrible," he stated.
He led the other siblings outside, so they could see for themselves. They all looked horrified, and they held each other close.
Eevee stuttered,"Th - this feels l-like a - a nightmare....."
Sylveon wrapped her ribbons around Eevee, thinking the same thing.
"Are we..... are we the only survivors?" Umbreon wondered aloud.
Glaceon snapped, "Well duh! It's most likely that we are!"
Espeon replied, "I agree. It's highly not possible that anyone else survived this. But....."
"But what?" Jolteon asked.
"I kinda have a sense.... that there ARE some survivors out here," Espeon said quietly.
Everyone looked at her, clearly not believing her.
"Yeah... I think you probably hit your head while we were running," Glaceon scoffed.
Espeon replied, "I didn't hit my head. I know what I feel."
"Then I feel like we should go find those Pokemon," Jolteon announced.
Everyone's faces showed surprise.
"Um, are you sure this is a good idea, Jolteon?" Sylveon asked.
Jolteon turned and faced his siblings.
"Ever since our parents died, I felt like it was my duty to protect you guys. And as of now, if there are Pokemon out there alive and need help, I'm going to help them. But I can't do it without you guys. So please, help me help rescue more survivors, and I promise we won't lose each other."
The Eeveelutions looked at each other, and one by one, they nodded.
"If you want to help more Pokemon, then we will help you, too." Leafeon replied.
Jolteon nodded thanks and smiled. The Eeveelutions followed him, in the hopes of finding more survivors.
