I was always a soft spoken young person. Sitting in class, my head looking towards the teacher or the window, where the sky was spread in front of my eyes, like a large blanket for me to look at. I guess that's why I was such a prime target.
My name is Bek Tori, and I happen to be one of the best students at UA High School. Of course, I have to give you some backstory before I can ever get to the actual story of how I came to this prestigious school. My parents were amazing heros in America, seen on every newspaper and magazine with a huge smile or a crazy battle pose. So it was only natural that I move to my mother's homeland of Japan when they were killed in a hero accident when I was 10. It was all over the papers in America and it was too dangerous for me to remain there without a guardian. Since I had no other family I moved in with my mother's great friend Midnight in Japan.
Yeah, that Midnight. The famous hero that leaks sleepy perfume into the breath of villains. Now that that's cleared up, let's move along.

I was seated in my usual seat in class, listening to the teacher as my eyes wandered the wide open sky. I was wondering if one of the clouds was a bunny or if it was just a turtle when all of a sudden the class went completely silent. I looked towards the class, peeved that my imaginative thoughts were interrupted to only see Bakugou leering over Midoriya.
Bakugou Kastuki was the class bully and grade-A pain in my ass. He always went after those with weak quirks or, in the case of Midoriya, people without quirks. I took a deep breathe as the scene unfolded.
"Who do you think you are?!" Bakugou bellowed, "You quirkless little pest! As if you could ever get into the hero course at UA without a quirk! HA! don't make me laugh, you pissant!"
I sighed as the bell rang and watched as Midoriya tried to keep the tears in. I stood slowly from my desk and grabbed my bag as I walked up to the scene that now had no witnesses.
"What gives you the right to talk, Bakugou?" I stated blandly as I stood next to Midoriya.
I don't know why I said that since Midoriya and I had never really hung out together or were ever really friends. I guess it was just my inner bitch starting to show.
"EH?!" the fiery blonde screeched. "Shut it, freak! You're basically quirkless too! No one here even knows what you do!"
"Yeah, and that's what scares you the most, isn't it?" I asked with a small smirk. "Don't mind him, Midoriya. People like him become villains in the long run."
I felt the heat of his palms as explosions went off in his hands. I kept up the face even though deep down I could feel my heart trying to break its way out of my chest. The last thing I needed was to explain why another desk was destroyed in my presence to my Aunt Midnight.
"Keep your mouth shut, bitch!" he yelled as his hand came at me.
I simply dodged and went around him, ending up near the door. I waved to Midoriya as I walked out of the room, followed by Bakugou's angry curses.

The next day, I heard Bakugou talking to Midoriya at the end of class.
"Hey, here's a thought!" he said cockily. "How about you wish to have a quirk hard enough in the next life and then take a swan dive off of the roof?"
I felt my insides churn as I turned to see Midoriya's broken looking face, tears streaming down his face and I lost it. This was it for the little fire bully.
"Oh Bakugou," I said coldly as I grabbed the back of his shirt, lifting him off of the ground and slamming him into the ground. "How about you pick on someone your own size?"
"Eh?!" I saw his right arm go for a swing and grabbed it, twisting it into a vice.
"Now, now," I said with an evil grin. "Didn't your mom teach you better manners than to bully others and to hit those who call you on your bullshit?"
After a moment of watching him squirm, I released my grasp and stood, a cold mask covering my face.
"Grow up," I said as I walked out, Midoriya following.
I looked at the halls with indifference as Midoriya looked at me with terrified, but mystified eyes.
"Thank y-y-you," he said in a mousy voice.
"Don't mention it," I said with a small smile. "See you at the entrance exam to UA."
And with that, I was on my way to a future I never thought I would have.
