Angel in the Dark

Chapter 2

"Nice to meet you, I'm harry"

        I had to bite my tongue to keep from screaming. Not because the man who stood directly in front of me was scary, but because this man was clearly no regular man. "who..how...you.." i couldn't finish a single sentence, i was tongue tied. "Don't worry Madison, I'm not the one you should be afraid of. i am hear to protect you not harm you" Said Harry. "How...How do i know you're not just lying to me and getting me to trust you so you can i don't know...possess me?!" "Possess you...you're kidding right. Angels don't posses humans Madison don't be silly"  I could see the traces of a smirk on his face as he spoke. "Angels, they cant be real" i stated sitting don on the sofa. "so you don't have faith?" he asked tilting his head to the side. "no i mean i know they are real just how are you here and why..." i said looking up at him. now taking a good look i can see he has dark curls and piercing green eyes, he was rather tall, towering over my short 5 foot 3 frame. his skin was not pale as some people would expect but he was tan and had scattered tattoos along his arms. "I can only tell you one of the reasons i am here and that is to protect you from the androgynous or...better known as the Boogie man" "The what?" i asked confused. "i haven't believed in the boogie man since i was at least 8 years old." i state. "Yes, i know this. i was there to protect you then as well. However he is back because of the recent death of you grandmum. you are weaker now...emotionally." he stated sitting beside me. "okay then why else are you here?" i shift in my seat to take a better look at him. "I cant tell you, its too soon for that. but i will see you soon. in your dreams." and with that he kissed my cheek and vanished. with a sigh i opened the curtains once again. "what do you mean its too soon. you have supposedly protected me from the boogie man my whole life..." i speak out loud. 

        "Madison......oh Madison" there it was again..the hissing voice. "leave me alone!" i scream into the darkness. "oh, don't be that way darling." the voice was closer this time. closer then it was before. "Harry! Help!" i shout. "oh harry cant save you. he is only a novice angel. he is nothing" this time the voice was angry. "Harry! Please help" i spoke barely over a whisper. "Madison, open your eyes....you have to trust me open your eyes!"  "no youre lying!" i scream. "Madison OPEN YOUR EYES!"

        i woke up screaming once again, tears falling down my face. "hey hey its okay it was only a nightmare." i hear his voice from beside me. without thinking i wrapped myself around harrys larger frame. "Oh god harry it was horrible!" i shout into his shoulder. "i know. i was there remember." he lightly took my arms from around his shoulders. "just go back to sleep. everything is fine now." he gave me a light smile and kissed my forehead. "Sleep,it will do you good. " and with that i closed my eyes and fell into a dreamless sleep.

I know its super short! but this was just a quick filler update. next weeks will be better! the next one will be up on monday! love you guys and thanks for reading!
