Today I'm going on a date with my boyfriend Daniel. We've been together for about 6 months, and it's going really well, even thought it's long distance. Neither of us have said ILY yet, but I think this relationship is something special.

I took a long shower to get ready for tonight; I wanted to look my best ( ;) ). After my shower, I picked out a cute outfit. He didn't tell me where we were going, but it's not any sort of special occasion, so I'm thinking it's a little casual. Though I don't usually do this, I put my hair in a bun. I was too lazy to straighten it and Daniel says he likes my hair up.

By the time I was done with my whole get ready routine, I got a text from Daniel.

New Message!
From: Daniel❤️
Hey babe, I'm here! Are you ready?

My girlfriend Danner and I are going out tonight. I made this trip out because I really wanted to see her. Tour stresses me out! I haven't told her where we are going because it's a surprise; I have a picnic set out and we're gonna watch the sunset together. The boys and I are going to serenade her too! I really hope she likes it. Plus, I packed watermelon.

I didn't really do much to get ready. I showered, fixed my hair, and put an outfit together. It's a picnic, so I didn't dress too fancy. I should have told her. What if she's in a dress? I mean, she'd look beautiful, but I hope she didn't go all out only to be disappointed by a picnic. Or maybe I should have taken her somewhere fancy. I certainly have the money, I just wasn't thinking. Ugh, now is not the time. It's already set up.

The reason I wanted to take her out is because tonight I want to tell her that I love her. I've been thinking about her a lot while I've been gone and it's so hard for me to be without her.
And you know what? A romantic picnic is perfect! I don't need to have second thoughts.

I drove to her house and parked outside before texting her to make sure she was ready to go.

I smiled seeing his notification.

I am! I'll be out in just a second. I'm so excited to see you!!! ❤️

I got my shoes on and put my phone in my bag before heading out. He was pulled up to the curb, and he was leaning on the side of the door. He looked handsome without even trying.

"Danner!" He yelled and ran up to me, engulfing me in a hug.

"Daniel!" I wrap my arms around his neck. I can't believe he's here! It's been around 2 months since the last time I saw him.

"You look great! I forgot to tell you to dress casually, but it looks like you already got the memo!" He smiles and leads me to the car.

"Thanks goodness! I didn't really know what to wear but I hoped it was alright."

"It's more than alright, babe. Let's go!"

He opens the door for me to sit shotgun next to him and then he goes and sits down in the driver's seat. Taking his right and and grabbing my left, he turns on the car and we're off.

Before long, we arrived at a small park. I've never been here before, but it wasn't too far from my house. It had a small swing-set and slide by a pond in the center of the open area. It also had picnic tables, a seesaw, and plenty of trees. Daniel kissed my cheek and got out of the car to open up mine. He's such a gentleman.

He takes my hand and leads me to a path that I didn't see, veering to the right. It was liked with roses and candles.

"Oh my goodness, it's beautiful," I say. He squeezes my hand and smiles.

"I'm glad you think so."

By now, it was near the time for the sun to set, but I didn't mind being out late with him. Daniel made me feel safe and happy, and it warms my heart that he would spend time doing something like this when he was so tired from tour.
All of the sudden, Daniel started to sing.

Look at us
We could paint a perfect picture
About us
From your head to toe, I'll fit you

One by one, the rest of the boys came out from the trees to harmonize with Daniel. They sounded amazing!

We on something, something, some
We on something different
We on something, something, some
We on something different

When they finished singing, I clapped so hard my hands started to hurt. Daniel is so wonderful. All of the boys to smiled as I clapped and Corbyn did a little curtsy, which made me laugh.

"Did you like it?" Daniel came up to me and asked.

"I loved it. Thank you Daniel." I gave him a big hug.

When he let go of the hug, he kept his hands on my waist. The other four boys began to sing "Nobody Gotta Know" as Daniel and I danced together.

She looks like she is enjoying this. Good. Great. Fantastic. I want to say I love her right now but I don't know if it's the right time. My legs are shaking as I dance with her.

"Daniel, I need to tell you something." She says suddenly.

Oh frick frack patty whack six pack tic tac nickelback quarterback guy named jack (avery), what is she gonna say?

"W-what is it?" I ask.

"When I first met you and the boys, I didn't think I would like you as much as I do. I was completely wrong, because you are the beat thing that's ever happened to me. This is so special, and I've missed you so much. I love you," She said, wrapping her arms around my neck and holding me tight. I put mine around her back and stopped dancing. Sighing in relief, I say,

"You beat me to it, beautiful. I love you too."

She let go of me and looked at me, smiling brightly. I leaned in and pressed my lips on hers. Our lips moved in sync, and the moment we shared together was like no other. I could hear the boys cheering in the background but I was focused on her. When I pulled away, all I could really do was smile.

"I'm so lucky to have you, Danner." I say.

"It's the other way around, honestly. Thank you for all of this." She says.

We spent the rest of the evening enjoying a picnic under the stars, and of course, the watermelon.
