Jin found himself walking in a lovely flower garden with a calming breeze tickling his face. He could see every colour of the flowers, the colour of the sky, the butterflies fluttering around, it was heaven to him. Jin bent down and plucked a flower, admiring its beauty. All of a sudden he looked behind him and saw a silhouette. It looked like a man who was walking closer to him. The man leaned over and whispered in Jin's ears.
"Wake up"
Jin woke up to nothing, darkness. The only thing he could hear and feel were his mother's calming voice asking him to wake up as she shook his shoulder gently.
"Jin, honey. Wake up, you need to get ready for school"
Jin sighed and lazily sat up.
"Okay, mom"
Jin's mother helped guide Jin to the bathroom where he could get ready. A few moments later he walked downstairs and drove to school. The car slowly stopped in front of the school.
"We're here~!" Jin's mother announced.
"I'll see you after school, mom. I love you" Jin said as he hugged his mother goodbye.
He gripped his walking stick and made his way into the school. As he walked into the hallway he could hear the familiar sounds of whispers and giggles. Of course, they were about him.
"Hey, it's the blind boy!"
"Whoa, look at his stick"
"Heh, what if we try to trip him?""Just ignore them" Jin repeated again and again in his mind. He was terrified every morning when he walked into the hallway. Sometimes bullies would slam him against the locker and slap him, or snatch his walking stick away and trip him. They would always laugh at how desperately Jin would crawl and try to find his walking stick. Thankfully, no one did that to him today.
He walked on the side of the walls, putting his hand on every sign until he found his class. Each sign had braille inscripted on it so it was easy for Jin to find his class.
He walked in and sat in his desk. He didn't need help to find his desk because the teacher put him right at the front of the class so he could hear the lesson better. He sighed and took out his books.
A ball of paper came flying and hit his head. Jin turned his head to the direction the ball came from.
[Bully and suicide trigger, if you are uncomfortable please skip this part. I will put these: ~~~ when it's over]
"Haha! Open it up and read the note I wrote you. Oh wait, I forgot you're blind so you can't read. Don't worry, I'll read it out for you!" A boy mocked. He walked over to Jin's desk, picked the paper ball up, opened it and read its contents on the paper.
"Ahem, dear blind boy of the class, I wonder how it feels to not be able to see? It must suck a lot, but we don't care what you feel. To us, you're just an inconvinience on this Earth that no one loves. You're like a parasite to us. Out of all the schools you had to pick this one to enroll to? What terrible luck! So just do us all a favour, and kill yourself." The boy finished, rolled the paper ball up and threw it on Jin's head. Jin was tearing up, he just wanted to run away and lock himself out from this cruel world. He let out a strangled sob and looked down.
"Aww, is the little bitch crying? What a crybaby!" The bully teased.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The teacher walked into the class and stood in front. The bully noticed her presence and sat down at his desk, pretending nothing happened. Jin took time to recollect himself.
"Okay class! Settle down, we have a new student today!" The teacher announced.
Whispers erupted in the classroom immediately.
"Is it a boy? Or a girl?"
"I wonder if the new kid is good looking..."
"Maybe he or she is smart!"The door unlocked and everyone fell silent.
A fairly tall man walked in with his hair neatly combed to the side. He looked calm and confident for his first day of school.
"Hello everyone, my name is Kim Namjoon. I look forward to being with you all" He bowed and smiled, dimples appearing on his cheeks.
A group of girls gathered in a group and started whispering.
"Oh my gosh, he's so cute!" One girl whispered, trying to squeal quietly. "Dibs on him." Another girl said.
"Hey, you can't do that!" The girls replied.
"He's mine!"
"No, mine!"
Arguments broke out within the girls as the group of boys stared at them."Yeesh, girls..." A boy said.
"Good thing we're gay as fuck, Kookie~" The boy snuggled into his neck.
"Shut up, Tae..." the boy with the nickname 'Kookie' blushed and turned his head away.
"Gag, PDA" a boy with mint hair commented.
"Oh shut it Yoongi, you're just jealous that my crush likes me back, unlike you!" Taehyung replied jokingly.
"Jimin will like me... you just wait." Yoongi said, with a hint of sadness and determination in his eyes.
"Hey that reminds me, why didn't Jimin come to school today?" A boy with a cheerful aura asked.
"He has a fever" Yoongi replied.
"Wow, you certainly have been up to date with him..." Taehyung teased.
"Don't try m-" before Yoongi could resume, the teacher continued speaking."Namjoon, you can sit down over there" Namjoon nodded and sat down. The class resumed and Namjoon found it fairly easy to understand.
School bells chimed and signalled the end of school. Sounds of chairs dragging along the classroom floor and the happy chattering of students accompanied the beautiful sound of the school bell.
Jin got up and gathered his stuff. Carrying his bag and his walking stick. He walked down the hallways quickly as to avoid bullies. Jin tried to speed up his walking speed to quickly get out of the school, but unfortunately he collided with someone and fell to the ground.
"Oh no, no no.. whoever I bumped into must be so pissed at me!" Jin thought.
"I-i'm so sorry, I'm really sorry it was an accident I swear!" Jin apologised in fear that he was going to get beat up.
"No, I'm the one that should be sorry, I didn't see where I was going," the person replied.
"That voice?" Jin thought.
"Um, are you Kim Namjoon? The new student?" Jin asked.
"Yep! Thats me!" Namjoon replied, "oh, let me help get your books..."
As Namjoon helped pick up Jin's books he saw a walking stick on the ground. He was confused but picked it up anyways. As he was about to hand the books to Jin he caught a glimpse of his eyes, then everything clicked.
"Ah... he must be blind.." Namjoon thought. He handed the books and walking stick to Jin, in which he got a small "Thank you so much" as a reply. Jin began to walk towards the exit of the school but Namjoon stopped him.
"Hey, do you uh, need some help to get to the exit?" Namjoon offered kindly. Jin was shocked that someone would actually offer to help him, he was very touched. He smiled and shook his head.
"No thank you, it's fine. I'm quite used to the layout of this school." Jin replied.
"Ah, alright then.. see you around, Jin."
"You too, Namjoon."Namjoon stared as Jin clicked his walking stick on the ground, walking to the exit.
"He's beautiful..." Namjoon thought.
