Chap 5: Escape?

DAMIEN'S POV

"After her!" I yell at the guards. My mate isn't getting away from me. I growl and shift into my black wolf and jump over the stairs, catching up with my mate.

As soon as me and my guards surround her, I pin her to a tree. I stare into her eyes "Shift" I demand through the mind link.

She whimpers and submits to me, shifting. I immediately cover her naked body with my fur, growling at anyone who looks at her. I send a message to Maria to bring us clothes and look at my compagno.(mate)

SERENA'S POV

I blush as I shift and hide behind the fur of the black wolf. He was obviously the prince, my mate, judging from the electrifying tingles shooting up my arm. I look at a maid who rushes to bring us clothes and say a quiet thank you.

I slip on the shirt and sweatpants she gives me and slowly peel myself away from the wolf. He growls and I freeze as He disappear behind the bushes and shifts, coming back with shorts on.

I gulp as his dark green eyes bore into mine as he growls "Why did you run il mio amore?"(my love). I felt a shiver go down my spine as I heard his sexy italian accented deep voice. "I uhm...." I remain speechless in the presence of my mate.

He chuckles and I blush beet red. "Lasciateci"(leave us). He growls at the guards and they nod, slowly melting into the shadows. My breath hitches as he pins me to the tree and I find myself nervously gulping again.

My breathing speeds up as he caresses my cheek and leans his forehead against mine. "N-no." I find myself saying shakily and push him away. "I barely know you" I tense at his angry eyes that just turn black, meaning that his wolf took over.

I sigh, since I'm his mate, I'm the only one who can calm him down. I take a few cautious steps towards him."It's ok. I'm here." I shiver and place a hand on his muscled arm. He eventually calms down and his eyes stare into mine.

I quickly take a few steps back "I think I should go..." I turned around and start walking away but before I could, I was thrown over his shoulder.

"Hey!! Let me down!!" I pound on his back and growl. I could literally feel the smirk on his face "You are my mate and you will not leave me!" he growls threateningly.

"I barely know you!!" He chuckles "You will grow to love me and know me amore"(love). I scowl "I already know you! You are a possessive alpha to be jerk!" I wince slightly as I'm dropped to the ground roughly and pinned against the tree.

"You will not address me that way!" He growls and I gulp. His face softens as he sees my wide fear filled eyes. "I have a short temper my love. I am sorry. Just don't do it again."

I nod frantically "Will you come with me to the palace?" He asks and I sigh. My wolf Lupa begged me to say yes. I nod hesitantly and he smiles.

I started thinking of a plan of escape. I then remember Aspen's phone number that was still tightly clutched in my hand.

I looked up to the Prince and my escape plan disappeared for a while until I forced myself to think how I barely know him. "It wouldn't be fair" I though and sighed "I am not perfect like him".

"I would have to gain his trust first. Without him marking me. If he did, we would be unseparable" Plans erupted and ran through my brain.

"What is wrong amore?" his voice asks and I jump slightly, startled."N-nothing..." He looked like he didn't believe me but I shrugged it off. As soon as I was gone, he'd forget all about me.
