I swim to forget
but instead I regret
my coach expects
but there's an effect
my shoulders bleed
with my knees
holding me back
to achieve

we do pointless laps
and no one says crap
we swim in circles
getting dizzy
it may make our hair
very frizzy

we should stretch
instead of bench
or work on technique
and reach our peak
but instead;
we sit on our butts
or do laps,
that make our shoulders cut
it has never been more painful
to flail our arms
and not reach our angle
