Chapter 1

Samantha's Point of View

It was the first day of summer, it was three days until Me, Ashton, Taylor, and Matthew were going to be living in a beach house in Myrtle Beach, SC. Ash has been staying with me all week because her parents are on a business trip in Florida all summer.

I recently just moved out of my moms house. She pretty much fucked my life up. My parents are divorced and she kept me away from my dad all of my life. I just turned 18 a couple of months ago and moved out. I'm now living in a two story house in North Carolina.

My aunt has taken care of me when my mom wouldn't. She is more like my mom than my bio mom. She is rich, and she just moved out of the house I'm living in now and got a new house. She gave me this house so I could finally get away from my mom. Ash has been wanting to move in with me since i got here, but her mom wont let her, of course. She is turning 18 in two days and when she does, she will be moving in with me.

We already have our bags packs and ready to go on vacation for the summer!! Her mom said she couldn't go with us because there wasn't going to be a parent with us, but since she will be 18 a day before we leave, she can do whatever the fuck she wants.

Ash and I went out to get something to eat. We decided to go to In and Out Burger. We just got there and my phone buzzed.

Taylor: Hey!! I'm seriously so excited for this trip. I'm already packed!

Samantha: Me and Ash are too!! and our bags have been packed for the past three days! I have really missed you..

Taylor: Matthew is riding down with me instead of him taking his car.. And i have really missed my best friend too... When we get there, you think just you and I could go out for the evening and catch up on somethings? (:

Samantha: okay that's cool, and of course we can! we have a lot to catch up on.. ttyl (:

I put my phone away and started to eat when they got brought out by our waitress. "So Ash.. do you still have a crush on Matt??"

"I don't know... Uhh... maybe.." Ashton said giving me a shy grin. "Last year when Taylor came and visited you, i could tell you had feelings for him, You acted like a totally different person. I know you, and i know that wasn't the Samantha I'm use to..." Ashton trailed off.

"You and Taylor are my best friends... I can't like Taylor.. I don't want to ruin our friendship... I had feelings for him and i tried to stop them but its just way too hard... Ash what do i do??"

"Friend zones are the worst. But you have to get past all of that... You two are strong, and he was acting different too.. so you never know. he might have feelings for you too..." She said while giving me a cheesy grin.

"I think when we get there, Taylor and I are going out for the evening and catch up... It think if i still have the same feelings i might bring it up to him... Will you be okay being alone with Matthew?" I said and then taking another bite of my burger.

"It will be weird, but yes we will be fine.. I wanna get to know Matt. So this will be the perfect opportunity" She said while eating some more of her fries.

We got back to my house and put in our favorite movie. Grown Up's 2. I was getting some blankets and Ash was making some popcorn. She came in and sat down beside me with a bowl of popcorn and got covered up.

"Do you think I have a chance with Matt..?" Ashton trailed off.

"I have talked to Taylor when you weren't around and i guess Taylor has been talking about you to Matt and he showed Matt a picture of you and Matt made the comment saying that you were really pretty" I said and then ate some more popcorn.

"Be sure to tell your future boyfriend I said thank you." Ash said while smiling at me

"Shut up and I will."

We laughed through out the movie and then it ended unfortunately.

Afterwards we got on our phones and checked instagram and twitter to see whats going on and We just found out Shawn Mendes is going on tour with Austin Mahone. We started screaming, dancing around, and full out fangirled over this news. We were most defiantly going to but tickets to it if it came to NC.

We ended up falling asleep on the couch after we watched a couple episodes of Breaking Bad on Netflix. I looked at the clock and it was 3 in the morning, so I woke her up and told her to go on to bed. So we both got up, and went to bed, walking like we were drunk from how tired we were. Her room was downstairs and my room was upstairs so we went our ways and I ended up passing out as soon as i plugged my phone in.

I woke up from the sound of screaming and yelling downstairs, I hurried up, and ran out to see...
