"Leafy" I rasped weakly. Getting up to my feet was nowhere near easy, but nowhere near impossible. I slowly, but surely, got up to my feet, when I was met with Barf Bag's voice from the side.

"We won." She informed.

"I know." I answered unenthusiastically, looking back at my racquet on the ground, with the ball in the net.

"What's..." Barf Bag started. "Concerning you."

"It was a victory," I responded in a bass voice, clearly showing fatigue, "But also a sour one." I felt something wrong in the air.

"I could see," Barf Bag comprehended, considering Leafy's unconscious body. Then, Leafy moved. Then got up. Leafy meant to speak to me, but wasn't facing me.

"I've never thought you would have such heart to save me again," Leafy started, mentioning the time I saved her on a hang glider from being crushed.

"I uhh..." I faltered, "I just, saw the huge pole coming down, so I just shoved you out the way, no big deal."

That was a huge lie: It was a big deal. If I hadn't saved her, that wouldn't have been the right thing to do.

"Sure," Leafy remarked sarcastically, turning around to face me. "You've saved me once, and now you saved me again. I don't think I'll ever repay this debt, even if I could die just for you to be saved."

"That was..." I stopped, almost losing my nerve, "Nice of you to say."

"So when?" Leafy asked.

"Like, four-to-six thirty," I said.

"Alright then." Leafy concluded, and walked away.

I felt a warm feeling in myself. I didn't know what it was, but I could feel something grow, like a friendship, or a bond. I have grown close to Leafy, but Leafy only mentioned of that. I have never really remembered my friendship, as Leafy left the camp six years ago, only to come back four years later. Now I had a crush on her, but this time, I never had the bravery to confess.

"Firey!" Woody shouted in the distance, clearly angry. "Why did you do that!?"

"What do you mean, 'why'?" I shrugged, astonished by Woody's aggressive want to win.

"You-" Woody stuttered, "You could've made us lost!"

"Have you lost your mind?" I spoke back calmly. "Do you seriously wish to get an empty cup than to save a precious life?"

Woody couldn't deny it. But then out of nowhere he spat out,

"Well then, go fuck off!"

For a second, I felt my heart crumble. My stomach felt cold. I have never seen how such a shy and timid person would go on to be so vulgar and hostile. What was going on?

I was the only person frowning at the ceremony. I only half-smiled as I climbed my way up to the top of the podium, but deep down inside me, I felt something wrong. I wasn't sad, not even stunned by Woody's curse. It was this premonition that something was going to explode into war, or like a nuclear fallout. Nothing specifically was confirmed in my head, but one thing was for sure: Something big is going to happen, and it is in no way good. The lighting even matched my mood. The lights in the hallway as I was exiting the arena was usually glowing a warm and comforting, almost blanketing amber to a cold and foreboding bluish ice. Leafy saw this, and limped to my side.

"Tough day, huh?"

There was a long pause as we exited through the glass doors and out into the open.

"Indeed," I sighed.

"Why?" Leafy asked in slight shock. "You- I mean, your team won the cup."

"A cup means so much to me," I responded, "It's just that how I won it, it just feels so... Empty."

"I can't see where you're going with that." Leafy retorted, confused. "At least not right now."

"However, what concerned me the most, is that Woody...." I couldn't find my words.

"Go on," Leafy reassured.

"Woody... He'd rather win... Than for me to save you."

"I could see." Leafy spoke.

"I tried to reason him, and calmly, I say."

"Then what happened?"

"I thought Woody wouldn't become such an aggressive person." I sighed. "Now... I'm not so sure." I became slightly teary-eyed.

"What did he..." Leafy faltered. "Say to you?"

"He said 'to go fuck off'." I said in a low voice. "He meant that was nothing to him."

"He's become..." Leafy faltered. "Something."

I knew what Leafy meant, but I knew she didn't want to say it out loud.

"I know." I responded. "If anything happens, we have to consult Four."

"Speaking of Four," A familiar voice called a bit distantly from my side, "I want to talk to you."

Four.

"So this is where we part." Leafy sighed.

"Yeah," I blushed a little. "C'ya."

So I walked to Four, walking fast, but not too fast to swirl my mind.

"So." Four spoke, his voice lower than usual. "Concerning day you have."

"Indeed," I responded.

"Woody's been acting..." Four faltered there. "Weirder than usual."

"I think I can supervise him." I assured. "I am up for anything."

"But what if-" Four stuttered, his worry growing. "If he turns into something... Something more. I mean in a bad way."

"If, or should I say, when anything, I'll contact you ASAP."

"Promise?" Four said, stiffly.

"I'll cut off all five if I don't." I assured.

It was a restless night, even with the cloudless night and the calmness of the outside environment. Everything now happened in my mind.
