Chapter 2

His name was Tyler.

I sat in the middle of his living room feeling uncomfortable and lost. How did I agree to let him bring me here? At the moment I was probably too out of it to even realize what I was doing. I still looked hideous and was pretty sure that the funeral was now over and they where looking for me.

Tyler didn't live very far from where he found me. It was actually a nice little house, more of a cottage, in the middle of the woods; but only a few minutes away from the city and society.

"How you feeling?" he asked as he appeared out of nowhere. I shrugged my shoulders and stared at the floor. I still wasn't in the mood to talk very much.

"Do you want anything to drink?" he offered.

"Are you going to poison me and bury my body in the backyard?" I stated coldly. A weird look spread across hiss face. That did sound kind of...

"No, why would I do that?" he said as he interrupted my thoughts. I slowly turned my head to stare at him and then gave a smirk,

"Yes, please."

He walked away into the kitchen and I sat there silently. I wasn't ready to go home, or at least what was left of it. My father was gone and now so was my mother. I don't have any siblings and we had just moved here a year ago. I was still pretty new. My aunt was moving in to take care of me. I don't see why she is doing that, considering the fact that she hasn't cared about me her entire life. But she is the only  "close" family that I have left.

Suddenly, someone barged through the door-

"Tyler, I need to know-" he stopped talking once his eyes fell on me. He was certainly confused.

"Uh..." his mouth hung open in confusion. What was I suppose to do? I didn't even know why I was here either so yeah. I just let him stand there, gawking like an idiot.

"Who are you?" he finally asked. I lifted my brown eyes and stared into his as he waited for a response.

"Who are you?" I asked back, obviously not really caring for an answer.

"I live here, so I think I deserve an answer first," he stated in a firm voice.

"Jordan," Tyler came out of the kitchen and stood in front of where I sat, standing next to this Jordan character. He had hair black as night and eyes so deep that it was hard to locate the pupil. He was skinny, but built. Unlike Tyler who was strong, but you couldn't really notice because of his noodle like body.

"Can I talk to you over there?" Tyler asked as he pulled Jordan away by the arm, far enough where I couldn't hear what they were saying.

"Ty, we live by a graveyard, last time I remember we don't invite everyone in who is in pain and sorrow."

Tyler sighed, "I know, I'm sorry but she- she was just losing it. She had ran so far I had to bring her here to make sure she was okay."

Jordan turned his head back to look at me and then returned to his conversation with Tyler, or Ty, or whatever.

He gave a small frown, "Tyler,"

"Look," Tyler interrupted him, "She lost her mom," Jordan's head lifted, "Out of all people Jordan, you should be the one who can relate. Please, she asked to stay the night. I said it's fine."

Jordan looked back at me again and my head started to hurt. I just wanted to fall asleep, fall asleep and never wake up again.

"Fine, but you're telling Amber about this." Tyler nodded, agreeing to Jordan's statement.

I had asked to stay the night? You know if I had the ability to think at this moment, I would know that that was a giant mistake, that if it was with the wrong people, I could be dead by the morning and never see sunlight again. But I was lucky, because the last thing I could remember was Tyler setting up a bed for me in an unused room and me falling into a deep sleep.
