[Riley's POV]
I jumped down the hole before Tristan could object. I fell about 5 feet before I hit the ground. "RILEYYYYYYYY!" Tristan screamed while jumping down after me. A few seconds later, I was knocked back down. "Oops...sorry," Tristan whispered.
"Ouch, dude you fell right on top of me!" I complained as we quickly got up to see where we were. "Whoa, what is this place?"
"I think we are in some sort of cave." I whispered, slowly turning around. "You can hear an echo." There was a faint glow from the hole we fell in, but it was otherwise pretty dark. "Whoaaaaaa," Tristan whispered.
"Why are we whispering? It's not like anyone else can hear us. Can they?" I said uncertainly. "Look! There's a tunnel over here!" Tristan exclaimed. "I wonder where it goes."
"Ooooooh creepy," I said, trying to freak him out. Tristan got scared so easily. I remember once, when we were about ten, he had to leave the bonfire at summer camp, because the ghost stories were "too scary". I still tease him about that sometimes.
We started down the tunnel, when we could finally make out a blue glow, soft at first, but slowly getting brighter. "What is that, Riley?" Tristan said, obviously scared. "Oh come on, it's probably just a cave opening," I said, exasperated. "Calm down."
"But why is it BLUE?" He exclaimed, frantic. "I don't KNOW, it's probably just the sky or something!" I yelled. "Let's see!"
I raced down the tunnel to find that it opened into a chamber, filled with a bright blue light. In the center, there was a blue stone sitting on a pedestal. As I got nearer, I realized it was giving off the blue light.
