When is a door not a door?
^^^
"So, Nate" The officer said "Do you remember anything else? Any thing that could help us?"
"Not that I've already told you Officer!" I stated. My arms were crossed while my finger tips held the grey wool blanket around my shoulders. I was leaning against the back of a police car.
"Stay out of trouble! Go home kid!" He told me disappointedly
"See you at home Dad." I told him ashamed; I knew he was unhappy.
. . .
"What were you thinking?" My mother whisper-yelled; trying not to make a scene.
"Are you serious? I didn't do anything!" I yelled back, annoyed that she was mad at me for being involved in something that no one in the world would voluntarily want to be involved in.
"Answer one question?" She asked; thinking of how to say her thoughts without offending me.
"No" I answered, without hesitation; already knowing what she was gonna ask
"You didn't let me-" She started; I cut her off
"I didn't kill her! I cant belive you would even think that!" I yelled causing everyone to look at us. An officer walked up to us.
"Good evening Miss and Mrs Walker, Im Shreiff Barkley" He introduced himself, he was well dressed; holding a notebad and pen. He flicked to a new paper and clicked his pen. My mother and I turned to face him with our arms by our sides.
"I understand you are new to this town and I assure you that we always do the best we can when these... rare, situations occur. Jordan Walker do you mind if I speak to you about the events that occured earlier tongiht?, we have a few gaps from your friends point of views?" His green eyes were piercingly gazing into mine.
"Of course!"
"Follow me please" I glance at my mum from the corner of my eye before following the Sheriff to the police car.

"Please cooperate Charlie!" She yelled at me.
"Your asking me questions about what I witnessed, the only thing I can think about is that poor girls body lay-laying in that p-pool of blo-blood!" He gagged inbetween words several times.
"Look I'm sorry Im not able to help, but come on man.... you gotta understand where im coming from!" He answered sarcastically; his hands were gesturing along to his words.
"Dont refer to me as mam! Look its now or at the station... why not get it over and done with?" She questioned trying to get me to cooperate.
"Uhhhhhhh.... FINE" I said; groaning.

"Mr Lahey!" He dragged out "What have you done now?" Officer Blake asked. He always took me in whenever I got arrested.
"What do they say Blakey? Innocent until proven guilty?" I was looking up at him and siting on the curb; a cigarette hanging from my mouth.
"Now now.... Who else in that room could've done it? Your the one with 8 arrests... sounds preettyyyy guilty if you ask me. But hey, what would I know?" He said sarcastically
"Yea 8 arrests.... but never found guilty! Who's the fool now?" I mocked him; his face dropping in defeat
"Thats because your dad dosen't care about you Enough to let you learn the hard way!"
"Come on man, we all know im not the one who got neglected as a kid, I mean... look what happened to you!" I blurted out completely ignoring his previous remark.
"Look kid I need a statement, you gonna give it to me or not?" He asked; frustrated. I took a puff of my cigarette.
"Does blakey say pwease or did his mommy also not care about him enough to teach him manners?" I spoke in a baby voice before letting out a chuckle.
He pretended to kick me before saying "Get up".
"Im being attacked!" I whisper-yelled causing him to back off.
"Ughh!" he groaned "Why are you so difficult?"
"Hey, dont rush me!" I take the last puff of my cigarette before pushing it into the side of the curb watching the sparks fly around; putting it out. I stood up, loosely swing my arms around to show I didn't wanna be here.
"Watch who your talking too!" He demanded
"Dont make me say it!" I smile pointing to him; my fingers at his eye level.
"Shut-"
"Ill say it, I wont hesitate" he grabbed my forearm and pulled me over to his police car
"Help!!! Im being kidnaped!!!" I jokingly whisper-yelled to annoy him; laughing uncontrollably.

I was wrapped in a grey blanket sitting at a table; comforted by my mothers arm that stretched over my back and rested on my shoulder.
I glanced to my left. The was a white van that had flashing lights, its back doors were wide open revealing a bright ray of white light from the inside of the van; its surroundings were dark causing the light to appear brighter than it actually was. Several people dressed in jackets that had cornor written in a bright yellow were frantically wandering around as if they were preparing for something; or someone. After a few minutes of staring at what they were doing, I heard the school doors swung open. A trolley was pushed out, weighed down by a black body bag that was then elevated into the back of the van by a few guys. Only minutes later, loud cries emerged from the doors. It was Bethanys mother....her loud sobs filled the silent night, her eyes appeared watery; disturbing her vison. She could barley walk down the stairs, her head buried in her husbands chest; she was crying a river...literally. Her father would occasionally wipe the corners of his eyes; trying to remain strong in the situation.
I watched her parents get into a cab that probably took them home, they left the school in the same state of grief that they were in the second the walked into the school.
"Thank you Miss Kensigton!" The Office said finishing up my statement before hoping in her car, sitting there for a while before driving off. I could see all my friends and Mrs Benson with different Officers probably giving their statements aswell.
They said we were off the hook and could go home....We were set up for group councilling sessions to make sure we were all okay. It was pretty traumatising....
