Chinsei~

The discussion continued in much the same rythem as before. And I just kinda stood there... bord out of my mind of I might add. My Gaara doesn't need an advisor for this kind of thing, and I know if her had his way I wouldn't even be here right now, listening to the back and forth banter of the Kage. Heck if he had his way I'd be bound to the bed and wouldn't even be allowed to move. But thats, I know, just because he worries about us. And I can't get mad at that.

Well I can... but I don't want to.

As I listened to the discussion I began to get a really bad feeling. Something felt... wrong... It was a feeling that I felt like I had felt before... a long time ago... But I couldn't exactly place it. I began to feel tense and worriedly looked around the room, I hopes I might find the source of my anxiety. But the room appeared to be just as it was when this meeting started. So why did I have the feeling something really bad was about to happen?

The Raikage was yelling at horrible volume... maybe I was still just a little freaked out from eariler... But I could feel it. There was something not right in the air. A gust of wind blew through the room and I held back my hair and pushed down my skirt until it passed, turning to find one of the Mizukage's men standing there next to me. He was staring at the Hokage with contempt in his eye.

"Lord Hokage, please show us the eye you keep hidden under that bandage." He said. Okay, no. I don't think anyone wants to see whatever nasty thing he has hidden under there. At least I don't. I've already got a touch of baby sickness, please don't add to it. Beside's, what te point of that. The Tsuchikage voiced my thought and the man continued. "I believe you stole Shisui's eye and trasplanted it in place of your own."

"It's Shisui Uchiha's?" Gaara mumbled next to me.

I covered my mouth and held my stomach as the nausia swirled in my stomach. "Oh gross."

"His particular jutsu let him enter the minds of others and let them go through phantom experiances of his own choosing. And manipulate them. It was such a top notch jutsu that no one even caught on to having been manipulated."

"Hokage, don't tell me that Mifune-!" The Raikage looked pissed, but then again so did everyone else kind of.

However, Mifune noticed something about the man and made a small questioning sound. "My right eye is also a precious spoil of war, from a battle against the Hyuga. So I'm not really one to cast blame. But you can not trick my eye. I was able to penetrate the genjutsu placed on the fourth mizukage. And thus, you see-"

A crashing sound bounced around the room and I let out a little startled yelp. "How dare you!" The raikage shouted. That man is scary...

But... scary as this man was, what happened next brought a scream out of me that I didn't even realize was my own until I felt Gaara's arms around my shoulders. Something green and shaped like a flower bud sprouted from the center of the floor in front of the desk. It began to open up and inside of it was a pure white person, half of their body twisted and deformed. "Well, helloooo!" The voice was so happy, and I continued to scream.

All of the guards took their positions and Temari covered my eyes. "Temari, if this become dangerous, take Chinsei and run." Gaara said.

"But Gaara-" Her complaints died quickly. I could clearly imagine the face he made to show how serious he was.

"Guess what. Sasuke Uchiha has snuck in here. I wonder, where do you think he could be hiding right now? Any guesses?"

"Sasuke Uchiha?" I heard Gaara mumble. The ground under me began to shake and my legs gave out. Temari held me up and her hand was removed from my eyes. Gaara turned to me with a worried gaze.

"It's like a game of hide-n-seek! Let's all try to find Sasuke!" The Raikage gripped the man's throat, but Gaara turned my face away from the scene.

"Chinsei, listen to me okay? Go with Temari and get away from here as fast as possible."

"Gaara no!"

"Listen to me!" His voice was low and insistant. It had been a long time since I heard him sound like this. "Sasuke once tried to take you from me using fear, but he is a whole new breed of dangerous now. I'm not taking any chances, not when it comes to you and Light's safety."

"I can't leave you." I insisted.

His gaze softened and soon I was wrapped in his warm hug. It was comforting and a tiny bit of my fear and anxiety was washed away. "I promise, this time everything will be alright. We're going after him, but I want to know you will be safe first."

"Lord Kazekage." We turned to see the Mizukage standing there with a small smile. "The Tsuchikage and I are staying up here with our guards just in case. She would be perfectly safe in our company."

Gaara looked like he was debating furiously with himself. I gently touched his cheek and smiled. "Go after that son of a monkey. I'll be right here when you get back."

Finally it seemed like he agreed with me. One quick kiss and he was gone, along with the Raikage and his guards and Temari and Kankuro. Now I waited. But my waiting would bring a pain I never believed I would go through. I never thought my greatest fear would come into play here. I never thought I would fear losing the one person I so desperatly fought to protect.
