Chapter 8

Cameron's POV:

It's the next morning and I see Danica sleeping and I smile and kiss her forehead and I also kiss her pregnant belly. I get up from bed and I start to get dressed. Caleb should be here soon to meet up with Dakota. And I've never been so nervous.

I walk out to the living room and I wore a note to Danica saying that I'll be back soon. I get a text from Caleb saying that he's downstairs. I walk out to his car and get in the passenger side.

"You ready bro?" He asks me
"Ready as I'll ever be..." I say calmly

Caleb drives to the destination. We get there and Caleb parks. I look around and see our men hidden. I walk out the car, with Caleb walking behind me. I see Dakota and his second in command (second boss) standing behind him.

"So what brings you to having this meet up?" Dakota asks. I take a deep breathe and let it out

"I want to unite our gangs" I say strictly and he laughs a little along with his second in command.

"You're kidding me right?" He says serious
"No, I'm not. I know you want me dead. And I know we want you dead. But your sister is pregnant with my daughter....you've known about me since her and I were freshman's in high school. You know my love for her. And you know how much her and I talked about getting married and having kids. Don't take this away from us" I say seriously

"That was BEFORE you were even in the drug dealing business! You two were very young and like you said FRESHMAN'S in high school. You got into this shit when you were a little older and you broke her heart!" He says mad

"Because YOU threaten to kill me if I didn't stay away from her....I was just following yours and my bosses orders....but I love her. And there's no one who can take me away from her and our unborn baby...so please all I ask from you is that we either unite....or we spend the next years of our lives trying to kill each other...and risking leaving our families...." I say calmly

"You have a beautiful family Dakota. I don't wanna be the one who breaks that up....you love your wife and son as much as I love my girl and our daughter. Please Dakota. Let me have my family like you have yours. Let me experience what it's like having a baby" I say sounding sincere

"Fine....I'm not promising to unite our gangs. But what I can promise is that we'll leave each other ALONE....but that we have each others back here and there when we truly need it. Deal?" He asks

I look at Caleb and he nods slightly

"Deal" I say and we shake hands

"And one more thing" Dakota adds in
"Yes?" I ask

"I wanna meet my niece when she's born" he says serious
"I'll let Danica know" I say and slightly smile

"Will Danica meet your son and wife soon?" I ask Dakota

"Hm....I'll set up a small family reunion for just the 5 of us. Well 6. Including your baby girl" he says and walks away
(A/N 6 meaning Cam, Danica, their baby girl, Dakota, his wife Gabi, and son Jack)

~~later that afternoon~~

Danica's POV:

Cameron's been gone all morning. I wonder where he went. I look down at my belly and smile.

"I can't wait to meet you princess. Daddy and uncle Caleb are excited to meet you as well. You're already much loved and spoiled. Daddy said he's getting a puppy for us to keep us company while he's away. What do think he'll get us?" I tell her rubbing my belly and she kicks me softly and I smile

"I think so too" I tell her and I hear he door open

"I think daddy's home. Let's go see"

I walk to the living room and see Cameron and Caleb with a bunch of nursery stuff and smile

"Hey baby. I thought we were gonna go shopping for the nursery together" I say sounding a bit disappointed

"It's only the big furniture baby. The crib, dresser, mirror, shelves. And we looked at your registry. So we knew what to get" he tells me

"So you didn't get the chair?" I asked and he shakes his head

"No. We wanted you to be there since you'll be sitting on it when your with her" he tells me and I smile

"Well start on the nursery tomorrow" Caleb says
