Genilla's POV
"Hey Gen! We're gonna be late, get your butt over here!" My brother yelling from downstairs.
"Coming!! " I yelled back and looked at myself at the mirror. OK, I'm good. I wore my favorite Van's shoes and my hoodie! I just let my golden hair down after I curled it. I took my bag and left my room.
I always go to school with my brother because my father won't let me ride with my friends. 'Just in case' he says. And besides, I don't have my own car so I don't really have a choice. Well, I had. And I sort of crashed it when I was on my way home from one of my friend's party. I kinda got drunk that night and blah blah blah..Anyway, after that my father don't trust me enough to get me another one. I can still go to parties but my father made a condition. And boy trust me, it isn't a good one. I'll have to bring Jake with me. And who's Jake? He's my idiot brother. He's just a year older than me. Isn't that weird?? I didn't know that people could do 'it' that fast. If you know what I mean. Oh right! I almost forgot to ask him about Minzy's party.
"Hey bro! You coming on Minzy's party next week?" I asked my Jake who is obviously not in the mood right now. Another fight huh? Jake and his girlfriend Hanna has been fighting a lot lately. I'm not really aware of the reason but I heard that it started when Jake punched the guy that flirted with Hanna at Monique Clinton's party. But it's their problem so I just backed off. Jake didn't seem to hear me so I asked him again,
"Hello? Back to earth Jake! So are you going?"
"No." He replied and his face just got worse. He looks like he's about to punch somebody. Dear Lord please I don't want to die yet. I prayed because Jake is over speeding and it kinda scares me. I shut my eyes and opened them when I noticed that the car had stopped. Boo-ya! Finally we're here and I'm alive!! Hallelujah praise the Lord! (laughs) Don't get me wrong I'm not really a religious person. I just thought I needed to be.
And by the way if Jake's not coming then I'm--, No no no no no!! I can't miss that party! It's the coolest party around. Ugh, that's it I'm over. I frowned while I get out of the car. I know I couldn't change Jake's mind when his like this. My bff Neira was waiting for me at the school gate. She automatically smiled as soon as she saw me. She ran to me and gave me a questionable look. She's wondering why I'm frowning huh?
"Hey, Gen what's with your face?" She asked me. And I just gave her a its-the-end-of-the-world look. She gasped and said, "No no no! Don't tell me that you're not go--"
"Jake's not going and my life is ruined..!" I cut her off and almost cried.
We both know that if I didn't go there, Chloe our school slut will spread her wickedness through internet,again. Last time it happened was when Dad forbid me to drive. She posted things like "Little bitch doesn't have a car?! What a loser. " "Oh no Daddy please forgive me, I want a new car pretty please?"etc. on Facebook. It was humiliating! But sorry for her half of the school likes me more than her. No matter what she do she's the REAL loser and she can't hide it mwa-ha-ha-ha !!! Oh! I almost forgot my problem right now. Well I still got a week so I'll just think of something.
I went to my locker and got my things ready. My first subject is biology, I just roll my eyes whenever I think of biology. You see, I'm not very good at it. And our science teacher, Mr.Hamilton just hate my guts. I guess I'll have to behave myself today. Like it makes sense! Whatever! I started walking and head for the classroom.
UNKNOWN POV
"It's gonna happen soon. She has to be protected until then. We can't let those vampires anywhere near her. If she's safe we're all safe. She's our only chance Don. You have to keep an eye on her from now on. Do you understand me?" I told him.
"Yes." He answered back.
"Good. And be careful, you don't want anyone knowing that we're watching." I warned him.
"I got it." He walked away after he said that. The task I gave him is very important. If he failed to protect her then we're all doomed. Not just our race but all of us. Because she is the only one who can defeat Devidri. She has to.
