I wasn't ready to go to school. I wasn't happy where I was living, either. But I didn't fancy the idea of being locked in a cell, so I went anyway. Despite my better judgement. "All right! Welcome to Montague High, Mr.Collins. I'm your counselor, Mrs. Perkins. If you have any questions, feel free to come and ask. Zoey can lead you to your classes, today. Remember, if you have any questions, just ask." She rambled on and on and on.Did this lady get paid for talking so much? I sighed as Zoey and I exited the office.

"Zoey, I have a question." She turned her face towards me as she surveyed my expression. "Does that lady get paid for talking so much? I mean, SERIOUSLY. I know I just met you yesterday, but she talks more than you. I didn't even think that was possible." I chuckled softly as we walked further down the hallway.

"You know, you seem to talk more than I do, kiddo. So you have absolutely NO room to talk. Anyway, here's your first class. I'll come and get you when the bell rings. Please don't run off when the bell rings..." She grinned and continued, "If I have to come find you because your ass has gotten lost, I will kick you in the freakin' shin. We've got the same lunch, so there shouldn't be much to worry about. I'll uh...let you get in there." I smiled as I watched her walk away.

This girl was after my heart.

"Hey! Get out of the doorway." Some geeky looking kid sneered at me as I stepped aside so he could squeeze through.

When I say the word "Squeeze" I mean it literally. The poor kid was so fat that he could barely even fit through the doorway. Even then, he had to suck it in and push his "chub" back into his shirt so he could squeeze himself into the room. There we go with that squeeze word again..

I sighed as I stepped into the room as well. Geek-Boy glared at me as I examined the inhabitants of the room. What had I gotten myself into? Just two months ago I was getting high as a kite and enjoying my life. Now, I lived in the middle of nowhere, I wasn't getting high, I wasn't drinking, and the only friend I had was a girl. Who happened to be my neighbor for God's sakes.

"HI!" I almost shit my pants as I whipped around to see who in the hell was yelling in my ear. "I'm Ethan. Class president, awesome kid, and not to mention the owner of a super hot Xbox 360."

I wondered if I was the only one who thought he was going to say 'super hot girlfriend'...

"Uh-Hey. I'm Dereck. Uh..ex druggie, loser, and I've got a super hot uncle that I'm currently living with." Had I seriously just said that? "Oh.." Ethan's face fell as he looked towards the floor. "That's cool, I guess." I started laughing uncontrollably. ....I just couldn't help myself. "Man, I'm kidding! Lighten up. It's nice to meet you, Ethan." I offered my hand to him. He looked down at in disgust for a moment before he finally took it in his own.

"Please to meet you, sir. So um...care to sit and tell me your story?" I had forgotten about the fact that we were at school..  More than half of the class were already seated, and they were staring at one thing:

Me.

Not Geek-Boy, who couldn't even fit through a freakin' door. No, they had to stare at me. I growled and pretended to jump at them, which caused everyone to flinch. GOD, this place was turning me into a weirdo. Damn.

Anyway, I accompanied Evan to a seat in the back, as I proceeded to tell him my "Story". Once I was finished, his eyes were wide and his mouth was hanging. "You're shitting  me, right?" Truth be told, I'm not exactly sure what that saying even meant. I mean, I wasn't really shitting anyone.. I know, I must sound stupid by writing that, but it's true.

"No, I'm not kidding."

"Well, shouldn't you be in jail or something?" I sighed and dropped my head onto the desk. Good Lord, this kid was annoying the hell out of me. "I should be, but I'm not. I got a second chance. Can we get off this subject, now?"

Evan eyed me suspiciously as he crossed his ankles. "The Feds aren't gonna come in and kill us all because they're looking for you, are they?" This kid was starting to seriously piss me off. "NO."

Every seat in the classroom was full by this time, which only meant one thing: The volume in the room was steadily beaming louder. It was like a chain reaction. One kid would get louder, which would cause another kid to have to yell, and so on and so forth. It was like a test to see who could scream the loudest. I let out a gust of air as I looked around the room for any sign of intelligence. Besides myself, of course. Instead I found a hand in front of my face. Apparently Evan had been talking to me. Ha ha, whoops. Something else had caught my attention, though.

One extremely hot babe had just walked through the door and she wasn't a student. She was a fucking teacher.

I wiped the remnants of drool off my chin as I turned my attention to something more...important. Her butt was fine as hell.

"Dereck,  seriously."

"What do you want, man? I'm busy."

"I'm inviting you to my party this Saturday, for like, the fifth time. Damn."

Oh...shit. "Really? But you barely even know me." Evan gave me a look like wanted to strangle my ass. "So are you coming or not?"

I knew Steve would never let me, but it was worth a short. "You can bring anyone you want?"

Oh, I planned to.
