Hi, babies!! So, I decided to take a little break from The Time Of Our Lives ((TTOOL)) because it was frustrating me and I honestly had no clue where the story was going so until I get back on track with that I'll be working on this one! Yay! Win-win situation here! :) So I hope you enjoy! Don't forget to vote, comment, etc.!  Love ya bunches! xoxox

*Coryn's POV*

The party was crowded and overly loud, the bass booming so hard that drinks rattled on the bar. I looked around, sighing heavily to myself as girls grinded on the legs of guys that were barely paying them any attention. This was not my scene. At all. I didn't necessarily want to be here but he'd asked me to come so I was here. And for what? He hadn't even showed up yet.

"Ryn!"

I spun around quickly at the sound of my name, a smile widening on my face as I saw who it was. "Ed!" I screamed back. Hopping off of my stool and running to greet him, I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck and kissed his cheek. "I was starting to think you just weren't going to show up!"

He laughed loudly, hugging me tighter and spinning me around before releasing me from our embrace. He looked me over and the smile on his lips slowly disappeared. I shifted uncomfortably from foot to foot under his scrutinizing gaze and knowing eyes. Pulling the sleeves of my dress over my finger tips, I plastered a bright reassuring smile on my own lips.

"You look thin, Coryn," he said finally, looking me in the eyes worriedly.

I kept mine focused on his and smiled wider. "Well, that's probably because you haven't seen me in about seven months, Eddy!" I tried to make my voice as light as possible, fluttering my eyelids a little and adding on his childhood nickname.

His smile returned and he hooked his arm around my shoulders. "You're right. It's been way too long, love." He kissed my forehead gently before excusing himself, mingling with some people as he made his way through the crowd.

A few girls gave me dirty looks as I sat by myself at the bar. So maybe it was something you were supposed to get used to but all the unreasonable hate directed towards me just because Ed Sheeran was my best friend was just ridiculous. He wasn't even Ed Sheeran, the Ginger God, to me. He was Eddy, the freckled little Ginger that cried every time we watched Mulan and that would never change.

*Ed's POV*

I stood with the lads from One Direction, watching Coryn as she picked at the plate of food in front of her and making small talk with the bartender. She was a lot thinner than she was when I first left for tour but it could've easily been from healthy dieting and exercise. There was just something different about her, though. I just couldn't pinpoint it.

"Hey, Harry," I called him over, waving my beer at Coryn still at the bar. "Does something look different about her to you?"

Harry was silent for a few seconds as he examined her before letting out a loud breath. "Honestly, lad, faces become a blur to me. Even without the few beers I've had," he mumbled, taking a swig from his almost empty pint. "Speaking of which!"

Within moments Louis was beside him raising his -- empty -- glass to Harry's. "Refill!" he sang out loudly before grabbing Liam's jacket off of a nearby chair. Wrapping it around his shoulder, he took off running, screaming "Superman" throughout the party.

I rolled my eyes and took another swig from my beer. Liam patted me on the back sympathetically, gulping down the rest of his pop.  I'd always admired him for his ability to stay alcohol free no matter what.

"I get it, Ed," he said to me simply.

I looked over at him to see him giving me a knowing smile. "Yeah?"

"Of course! She's your best friend. You worry about her.Especially when you can't be there to make sure she's okay."

I nodded weakly and continued watching her. Of course I worried about her! She was constantly injuring herself or getting lost even though she's lived in London her entire life.

Louis and Harry ran by, screeching loudly and making kissy faces at each other. "Where's Niall and Zayn anyways? Since when did they miss a party?" I asked looking over at Liam.

"Zayn had a date with Perrie and Niall had one with Nando's."

I stared at him blankly for a few seconds. "How exactly does one have a date with a restuarant?"

"He makes a reservation for ten and then he orders enough food to feed ten people. And then he calls me to give him a piggyback ride to the car because he's usually so stuffed that he cannot walk."

I rolled my eyes again and finished my drink. "Well, good night and good luck with that, mate. I have an early morning interview so I think I'll call it a night."

Walking away from Liam, I saw Coryn watching me closely. I changed directions and walked towards her instead. "You need a ride home?" I asked her, smiling a little.

She smiled back, the dimples in her cheeks showing briefly. "I believe the correct question is: Do you need a ride, Mr. Sheeran? You're utterly wasted." She replied, laughing and sweeping her auburn hair over her shoulder.

I leaned forward and pouted a little. "Ryn," I whined. "I'm a big boy now. I can take care of myself."

She rolled her eyes and stood up next to me, linking her arm through mine. "If you honestly think I'm letting you drive yourself home you have had way more than I thought."

I sighed heavily as she dragged me through the crowd of people to the front door and out. I could still Harry and Lou inside screaming random words at the top of their lungs as she unlocked her car doors and fastened me into my seat.
