Chapter 1: A New Face
She panted as she ran down the empty street of Osaka during a stormy, winter night. She was crying, her uniform full of blood. Her tears were blood. She held on her stabbed stomach as she limped. She was being followed. Then, it appeared and said coldly, "Why did you leave my friend? The fun only just started!" Then, she started screaming and it covered her mouth and pulled her across the dark, empty alley. "Lets have fun, lets have lots of fun!" It giggled as the poor girl was being helplessly pulled down the alley. The creature had empty eye sockets, just holes in it's face. It's huge smiling mouth was full of sharp, uneven teeth. It was about 10 feet tall and it's skin was pale and rough. As it spoke, it's huge mouth didn't move. The girl tried to unleash herself, but it was too strong. It was her end. It was over...
Mei Akihito was always a very lonely girl. She was never able to make any friends, due to the fact that she was always quiet. And even if she tried to make friends, they would ditch her because she was weird. Mei tried her best to make a friend, but she was never able to. So Mei spent her entire childhood alone, especially since she studied at a boarding school so she never saw her parents, the only people who actually loved her. But as she left her boarding school at the age of 11, she was struck with bad news because her parents were killed in a car accident. Mei cried and cried, there was no one else as dear to her as her parents were. But the good news is, Mei's parents were not poor, so they left her a good amount of money, enough for her to buy a little apartment in Tokyo and go to school until she is old enough to work by herself. So, Mei lived in Tokyo and started to go to a middle school, where she had no friends as well. She got used to loneliness, but she was tired as well. She wanted someone to talk to. Then, on the third term of the her first year in middle school, is where Mei's life changed forever. As Mei walked through the hall to enter the class, she over heard her fellow school mates talking about a new boy. Mei tilted her head and though, "I don't care. He won't like me anyways.". Later, Mei entered her class and all the students entered as well. Then the home room teacher walked in and set his bag on the table. He later said, "So class, we have a new student." And a lovely boy walked into the class. All the girls were squealing: His hair was black and silky, his eyes were blue like the ocean, he had a wonderful smile and he was muscular and tall. He was dressed in an elegant black suit with a little bowtie. "My name is Tohru Motoko." He said sweetly as he bowed to the class. Even little Mei felt her heart go pitter patter once she saw the handsome man. Tohru looked at Mei for a few minutes as he stood up in front of the class. All the girls were confused and jealous, wondering why the prince was looking at the weird peasant.
After the class ended, Mei went outside to eat her bento peacefully in the school garden. As she left, all the girls were trying to speak to Tohru, but he ignored them and went to Mei. Mei was shy, and murmured: "Wh-What do you w-want?" He laughed and said, "Mei, don't play games with me. I want you." All the other girls were eavesdropping and were furious because the lovely man was flirting with the awkward girl. "W-what is it?" Mei, stuttered. He smiled and said, "Lets go on a date this afternoon." She looked at him, confused and said, "Date?". "Yeah, why not? You are a beautiful little girl, why should we go on a date?" She was extremely shy and said, with tears in her eyes, "O-okay." He was happy, she was shy, and the other girls were angry. The girls all decided to try their best to sabotage poor Mei's date. "Okay girls," said Ai, the meanest of them all. "My plan is to break into her house and rip up all her clothes so that she wouldn't be able to go since she doesn't have any clothes." "But that means we have to leave early, right Ai?" Asked Touko. "Obviously Touko, don't be stupid?!" Said Mami. "You all agree?" Asked Ai. "Yes!" They all piped. Tohru heard their plan, and he decided to mess it up. So, as class started, Mei went off, while the other girls escaped the school, and Tohru following them from a distance. Tohru decided to take a head start, so blinked and in a fragment of time, he was at Mei's little appartment in downtown Osaka. A few minutes later, the other girls got into Mei's building. Ai, who was very strong, kicked the door down and they all marched in. Then, they were raiding her house and breaking everything that comes in their way. Then, Mami entered Mei's room and shrieked. All the girls ran to see what was going on and they found it there. It was standing right in front of them. They all screamed and he muted them. They tried to scream but they weren't able to. It grabbed Ai from the neck and said coldly, "Why are you spoiling my date?" It clenched her neck so hard until the other girls were able to hear her neck crack. She wasn't able to breath or speak. It clenched it, while his long nail pierced her neck. The other girls were horrified, and they were just staring blankly at their friend, who's head was being cut off with a monster's long nails. Then, he threw Ai's corpse to the floor and before you know it, all the other girls fainted. It took that faint as an advantage, and fed on their undead bodies. The house was bloody, organs and blood were lying all over the place. Poor Mei's little appartment looked like a slaughter house. As this massacre was going on in her humble adobe, Mei skipped down the street. She was so excited, she has never been on a date before, and she is finally going on a date: with the most handsome boy she has ever seen in her life...
