Inversia, a land ruled by music. Those gifted with the power of one of the four major gods, Perythros, Anthizo, Polemistis, and Synaisthi, live out their lives in leisure. Until wartime comes, when each of their unique skills shakes the battlefield. Perythros presides over the destructive power of fire. Her followers, the Saerion, wield their power with confidence and dynamic energy. Anthizo uses the element of water. Her disciples, the Stagoni, are serene and focused when they use their power. Polemistis commands the four winds. His disciples called the Synnefa, utilize the power of air to create powerful gusts, yet they still manage to possess grace and finesse. Synaisthi, god of the earth has fewer champions, but the ones who are chosen by him are called the Votsala. They exude strength and stability as they take the power of the land beneath their feet and put it to work. Yet, long ago, there were only three gods.

At the creation of Inversia, the three gods split the creation of the world. They used their instruments to breathe life into the world. Synaisthi made the earth. He sculpted the mountains and pressed down valleys. Polemistis formed the sky and whipped the winds into shape, creating strong rushes of air and gentle breezes. The third god, Ekthesi, filled some of Synaisthi's craters with fresh water, and the deep crevices were filled with salt water, creating oceans, rivers, and lakes.

After the land was prepared and ready, each god made a different creature to represent them. Polemistis formed the elk, giving it graceful strength. Synaisthi molded the crane, giving it the balance and stability of earth. Ekthesi sculpted the dolphin, who took on the playfulness of water. After they were finished, the gods decided to collaborate again, as they had created Inversia so well together. They made humans. Ekthesi gifted them with kindness and love, while Polemistis gave them the skill of flexibility, whether physical or emotional. Synaisthi bestowed us with the ability to ground ourselves when things get rough. When they were finished, they placed the humans on earth.

After a while, it became evident that humans were destroying Inversia with wars and greed. Synaisthi wanted to eradicate the humans and leave all the animals they had created to peace. But, Polemistis thought that they deserved a second chance and that they should intervene. Ekthesi was torn. She loved both humans and the earth, but she knew that they could not coexist forever. She held out for as long as she could, putting off the decision until the very last moment. Polemistis and Synaisthi were nearly at war now. They pressured her to make a decision and end the suffering of the earth. This was too much for Ekthesi, and her indecisiveness split her in two, creating Perythros and Anthizo.
