Underneath

I wear a shirt, under that shirt is skin, miles and miles of skin. I wear a shirt, underneath that shirt I where scares, scares that people try to hide and lock away so no one else can see them. I wear a shirt underneath that shirt are regrets, a whole bucket full of regrets, things you wish you could have done, but you never did them and never will. I wear a shirt, and underneath that shirt is water, water that we cannot live without, water that surrounds you within hope, and water that pours down your throat.

                                                             I wear a shirt.
