I shuffled my hands through my bag, trying to be as quiet as I could. I was, afterall, in a library. I found my phone, and rushed out of the library, my heels clicking on the tile floor. I closed the door quietly behind me, and leaned my back against the building's wall. I dialed my sister Erin's number, and held the phone up to my ear. The line rang twice, and there was a click. "Steph? What's up?" Came a familiar voice. I smiled and looked at the two tickets in my hands. "You'll never guess what I won at work today." The line was silent for a moment, then Erin laughed. "No, I won't." I put the tickets in my pocket and started towards my car. I sat down in the drivers seat and shut the door. "Glass seats to a Sens game. And, get this, they're behind the bench!" I heard Erin squeal, excitedly. We lived together, as we were sisters, so I put my seatbelt on and pulled out of the library parking lot. "I'm on my way home now, so get ready for the game. Bye!" I exclaimed, then clicked the phone off.
I pulled into the garage and got out of my Fiat. I climbed the few stairs up to the door, and stepped into the house. "'Rin? You there?" I called. "In here!" Came a faint voice from upstairs. I found Erin ready for the game, with bright red lipstick, her dirty blonde hair straightened so it reached her shoulders. She wore her home Sens jersey, and black leggings. Her favourite player was Kyle Turris, so of course she had on his jersey. "Looking great, looking great." I smiled, surveying her outfit. "Thanks! Now, hurry up, I wanna leave!" She laughed, shoving me into my washroom.
I put on my heritage jersey- Silfverberg's- and curled my platinum blonde hair so it reached my mid-back. I put on matching red lipstick, and mascara over my blue eyes. I then put on dark blue skinny jeans, and black pumps. Perfect. Ready to go to the game. I walked down the hall, and paused by our Hockey Room, smiling in at it.
What's that? You're confused as to why two 20-year old girls have a Hockey Room? And, what's in our Hockey Room? Right. Well, we were Olympic hockey players afterall, so we had a Hockey Room. It had trophies, signed jerseys, card collections, etc. We absolutely loved it.
I smiled once more, then went downstairs to meet Erin. She had on red flats to compliment her outfit. "Maybe you'll catch Turriy's eye?" I joked. She rolled her eyes and laughed, then walked out to the car. We drove to the game, got our tickets checked, bought two beers, and headed to our seats. "This should be great!" I exclaimed. Emily agreed, and then warm-up began. Barely two minutes into the warm up, though, there was a tap on the glass, and we turned to see two people looking back at us. You'll never believe who.
