Romeo and Juliet

The Untold True Story

Hope you enjoy :)

A sixteen year old woman in the early 1200’s was walking in the streets of London, England close the timing of midnight in the summer eve. With her incredible luxurious long blond hair held back by a golden circlet across her forehead so you could be able to see her face clearly. Although, in this deep darkness, she instead of showing her immortal face, she hid it inside a large brown colored robe with a hood.

She had told her headmistress her likes of the city at nightfall, says it fills her heart with adventure and bravery.

“Wouldn’t be an adventure if one of ‘em Jacks smuggle you away and leave your dead body in a ditch by the dirt road,” She had said with a severe tone that irritated the young lady.

“Nana, you worry too much. It is just a small walk towards the blacksmith’s,” She waved her hand in the air as if throwing the subject away.

Little did Nana know.

The woman was suddenly grabbed into a stone walled alley, her mouth was held tightly by a pair of leather gloves she found so familiar. His hood did not reveal who he was but she trusted him already. He began pulling her away, practically running, farther into the alley and turned sharply right, only to see a dead end. She was confused at this encounter; he’s never done this before.

The hooded man came to a quick halt and she tried to catch her breath. Only to have her mouth covered again. His hand was gripping on her wrist so hard she was terrified that one large yank would rip her hand clean off.

“Wh—“She tried to whisper but was instantly shut up. The girl became frightened. This man that was pressing her against the cold wall was unknown to her. Then she heard the sounds of people scratching away at ground.

“I thought I saw her here but. . . I suppose I was wrong.” She heard a quiet scratchy voice say in the dead of night. She recognized it almost immediately.

It was a Jack. One of those men who were in a secret cult, finding young women, like herself, raping them and then throwing their scraps of dead pieces into a nearby ditch. Many are unsure of who they were and why they would do this treacherous, ungodly thing.  But no one ever wondered what thoughts played in their horrible minds.

The man and she stayed in their embrace for what seemed like an eternity when he finally let her go. Her wrist was numb and her chest hurt from holding her breath in for so long.

“We may not speak here, they will possibly return,” He said this time gently holding onto her slightly wounded wrist. She winced at the touch. “And I apologize for holding onto you like that, very unmanly of me.”

“Yes, and holding her against a wall, nearly suffocating her is incredibly unmanly. Might as well leave you to the hangman,” She whispered, her voice holding a slight tease.

“Ahh, and a kiss would do what exactly?” He removed his hood showing a young dark face that shone pale against the moonlight. His dark curls hung a little below his ears, just hanging before his unique silvery eyes.

“Give you a good slap in the face,” She replied with an easy manner although she put up no fight to him. She knew his face now and let him uncover her face so they could see eye to eye, brown eyes to grey.

Her love for him burned so strong it physically hurt when they parted during the daytime. Her want for him empowered her thoughts. And when they tangle themselves into each other’s arms and just hold themselves there was a bitter calmness, bitter for their love being forbidden.

Once they sneaked to the stable house nearby the castle, which she lived in, he closed the door pinned her against the wall and kissed her for so long her entire body ached for him.

“I’ve missed you,” He whispered in her ear. She only nodded and kissed him. That’s all she wanted to do. Love him desperately and unconditionally until the day they died.

Once they pulled away from each other they simply just stood there.

Then she spoke, just saying his name, “Romeo.”

“Yes?”

She hesitated, “What will happen when Juliet finds out? She’ll kill us for sure.”

Romeo, the stable boy, touched her chin, “I chose you, not your sister.”
