Chapter 3/ Another Day

-Y/N POV-

*beep beep beep*

I got up to the sound of my alarm and I turned it off.
A new day has begun, yahoo.

I got out of bed and headed to my closet, I took a light sand brown sweater, black jeans, white socks and a towel.
I head over to bathroom to take a shower and then dress up.

As I've done so I went to kitchen to make some breakfast and ate.
I made myself some sandwiches for school as well, took my backpack and headed out towards school.
Like in every morning I head to Starbucks to get some of my favorite coffee to stay awake for the day.

And since it's Monday I have to go and work after school at subway which is near my school, so it ain't much of a problem to me to get there.

As I get my (favorite coffee), I notice that Gradient came into the Café 'Was he gonna come here everyday?' I thought to my-self as I payed for my (favorite coffee), I then decided to greet him, and so I did.

"So, what brings you here today?" I asked him and he replied "Just came to get a drink" I then noticed that he looks kinda tensed up. I wonder why? "Say- you look tensed up, is everything okay?" "huh-?" apparently I snapped him out of whatever he was thinking about "Nevermind" I decided to not ask about it.

I then glanced at my phone and see that I'm gonna be late if I won't hurry to school, so we said our goodbyes and I left the Café, heading to my school.

Didn't manage much conversation with him, and it felt pretty awkward.

Throughout class I couldn't help but question where Gradient is from
As I kept questioning it, I just started doodling him on my notebook and then just coming up with an idea like 'Why won't we draw together sometime?' that's a pretty nice idea. Maybe he could even teach me how to draw digitally.

Class is over, didn't pay much attention because I couldn't stop thinking questions and ways to hang out with Gradient.

I was walking down the hall, heading to my next class whilst also thinking about yesterday's events. 'Were the people that chased Gradient really drunk? They didn't look drunk. What squares were they even talking about in the first place?'

I snap out of my thoughts as I accidentally bump into someone "Oh sorry- I didn't mean to-"

I then see my best friend, Frisk "Oh- Hi (Y/N). Don't worry it's oka-" I then cut them in mid sentence "Frisk! Where were you yesterday?" They then let out a small chuckle "Heh- I was in a family trip yesterday. Sorry I didn't tell you about it"

"It's alright. At least I know that you're still coming to UnderHigh and that I'm not in this school alone" We then both start to giggle. Frisk and I were bestfriends since we met back down at the underground, in waterfall.

Such nice memories have we made with each-other back there.

-3rd person POV-

It was back in waterfall, when there was a report that a human has fallen underground and were already in waterfall, when (Y/N) was just 10.

Because of that, (Y/N)'s parents didn't let her to go out of the house because they worried about her safety. But (Y/N) was a really curious child back then and she wanted to meet that human because she never seen one in person.

So (Y/N) snuck out of the house without her parents knowing and started to wander around waterfall, searching for the fallen human.

(Y/N) then saw someone around the echo flowers, she never seen them before so she walked over to them and just asked who they were, and they replied with their name "Frisk" "It's a really nice name!" (Y/N) replied and then added "I heard there's a human around here, have you maybe seen them?"

They smile and chuckle, pointing at them-self. (Y/N) just looked at them in confusion until she realized that they are the human that has fallen down.

(Y/N)'s eyes then widen in surprise and she asked in excitement "You're the fallen human!?" They just nod, giving you a smile. (Y/N) then jumped in excitement "You're the first human that I've ever seen in the underground!"
She then thought for a bit, seeing that they wear a blue and magenta striped sweater, short blue pants and brown boots, having short strait brown hair and their eyes are closed.

"Do you want to be friends? It'd be so cool being friends with a human!" Frisk nodded and then gestured with their hands for her to walk with them through waterfall, and she agreed.

On the way as they two chatted, they met Monster Kid.
Frisk already met them before, and MK joined in , walking with them and just chatting about things that happened in school, apparently MK isn't aware yet that Frisk is a human, but he wasn't bothered by who they were, and was just having fun with them and (Y/N).

-(Y/N) POV-

Me and Frisk started heading towards our class, we both had P.E. so we walked there together.

As we get in the class, I immediately noticed Derek and the other end of the class, practicing with a basketball whilst the teacher still hadn't came in.

I went to the girl's restroom to change my clothing of the class, once I've finished and came out I see that the teacher already came.

He yells at the students to stand up in a line so he could start today's lesson, and so everyone does.

That's gonna be a long hour.

After we all done the warm ups and ran around something like six to seven time, the teacher decided to let us play dodgeball.

Monsters vs humans.

Ah yes. That's great. Frisk isn't with me, and it's gonna be a big pain in the ass to dodge the balls that Derek will throw at me.

Why is it gonna be a pain in the ass?
It's literally gonna be like that, because he throws these balls without any mercy, and it hurts like hell when it hits you.

So I'm currently the only one on my team, and three on Derek's team, and me being a pretty good dodger, I haven't been hit by anyone.

I do gotta admit though, I'm bad at accuracy when throwing the ball at someone, so I always missed when I tried to hit someone with the ball.

At the end Derek managed to hit me in the face with the ball and I fell on my back, they won the game and I'm pretty sure Derek broke my nose with that throw because it started bleeding.

So after the class Frisk went with me to the nurse's room to check up on me.
The nurse just gave me ice and I placed it on my nose.

What a great way to end P.E.
