It was a strange start to a day for the Bowers Girl. Someone in the gang had gone missing. Patrick Hockstetter. Henry was cold hearted, Victor was a mess and Belch ran into his dad who still hadn't heard anything. Harley took a long drag off of her cigarette as she laid back on the seat that was attached to Belch's parked car.
"Light me one." Henry directed his request at Harley. She passed him a lit cigarette and continued to smoke her own. Patrick's missing poster was plastered onto a nearby pole. Henry didn't bat an eye at the poster.
"Do you think they'll ever find him?" Harley blurted out, reviving looks from the rest of the boys.
"I don't know." Victor replied. The others kept silent. Harley was completely aware of all the missing kids, which was the current cause of her mother's paranoia.
Harley sighed and took another long drag from her cigarette. They were parked on Neibolt street, a group of kids walking into a big house caught the gang's eye.
"Losers." Henry spat. Harley looked in confusion.
"Dumbasses." She said in disapproval.
"They're gonna get themselves killed." Belch said.
"I know." Harley put her cigarette back in her mouth.
"I heard them talking about going to that house." Belch said.
Harley gave him a look and continued smoking.
"They said that's where all the missing kids go."
Henry laughed out loud. Harley ignored him, as well as the rest of the gang.
"Weird." Victor said.
