My Half-Dragon Lover

I stared ahead of me as I watch the sky turn reddish, like a fire that slowly consumes the water, turning it to something different. I sat there on the bleachers, staring but not really seeing at all. I can say that I have been like this for quite a while, breathing but not really living, you know just like a zombie.

I became like this when HE left me all alone. I knew form the moment I saw his face that very first day at the coffee shop that he is different. Not just different from other guys but different from me, from us humans. But his face, his movements, his smile, all of him captivated me. Like a scene from a horror movie when the protagonist, who knows that the killer would be at the end of the hall but still went there anyways because it is the only thing to do. When I saw him, I just knew that I had no other choice but to go to him and give him all of me.

It was a cold day when I first met him. It was mid December and was snowing quite heavily. Me and my two others friends decided to ditch cheerleading practice and go to our favorite coffee shop instead. There I caught sight of the most beautiful man I have ever seen. He was tall with blonde hair that is cut neatly and a body that probably makes all the girls swoon over him. I looked at my friends and noticed that they have seen him too. They too have the same expression on their faces that clearly states that they think of him as some sort of a god.

After our ogling session, we get in line and ordered our respective preferred coffee. Hot black coffee for me and hot decaf  coffee for Ashley and Lily. After getting our drinks, we went to the corner where  are seats were reserved. See, we have been going here since the shop has opened everyday after school that  Maggie, the owner of the shop, has reserved these seats for us.

"Hey, I think the god over there is the one my mom's talking about." Ashely said, pointing her thumb over the hot guy.

"The orphan? I thought when you're mom said that some boy from the orphanage will be moving here in Greenville, she meant like a total emo kid not some god like man." I said, leaning closer to Ashley and Lily for the new guy might hear me because of the silent atmosphere.

"Yeah, I thought he would be some kind of a loser or something. Obviously, we have been so stereotyping everything." Ashely said with a goofy smile on her face.

"I know right? He's so far from being emo or loser." Ashely said while openly staring at him.

"You know, if I don’t have Sean right now? I might make a move on him but unfortunately, I love my boyfriend." said Lily while turning her head and staring at him too.

"I'll make a move on him"

"Ash! You have a boyfriend already!"

"So?" Ash asked, turning her head and looking at me.

"So, you can't just make a move on the guy who clearly isn't your boyfriend." I said looking at her eyes then all of a sudden, I feel a pair of eyes looking at me. Turning my head to the right, I saw the new guy looking straight through me. I suddenly felt out of breath, like all the air from my body is being suck away from me.
