"Hey Axel?" Kelly asked, rolling away from her laptop and into his side.
"What's up?" He responded, looking down at her.
"How much longer do I have to wait before I can move in here with you?" She whined, tugging on her brother's shirt like a small child.
"I've told you before that you can move in once you graduate since we are out of your school zone here."
"Aww, but that a whole nother year away~ I wouldn't mind going to another school for just one year." She said, sitting up and leaning against Axel's broad back.
"And be away from all your friends and teammates your senior year? Not going to happen, not going to have you stuck somewhere where you don't know anyone for your final year of high school." Axel said, shaking his head with a sigh.
"I'd still have you at home..." She mumbles, picking at the black comforter on the bed.
"I come pick you up from school everyday and you spend all day here anyway, you act like you never see me." Axel chuckles, reaching back and poking his sister in the belly.
"Yea but I only get to spend the night on weekends." She giggled, swatting his hand away.
"Yea but that's cause you have school and need to be there for the bus to pick you up." He said, standing up and Kelly flops down on the bed where he was sitting a moment ago. "But today instead of hanging out with me, you and dipshit are going to a party."
"Are you ever going to refer to Chris by his actual name?"
"Considering I don't or trust him...no."
"Well at least you're honest I guess, but Chris isn't a bad guy. He just takes some getting used to." Kelly said, standing up as well. "Now I'm going to go change into something more appropriate for a party." She said, looking down at her V-neck top and leggings.
"You mean a fully body jumpsuit that's impossible to get off and hides everything?" Axel joked with a grin.
Kelly laughed and rolled her eyes. "Very funny Axe, but no I'm wearing a dress." She said, hugging her tall brother around the waist.
"Yea alright, but you are changing if I don't approve." He hugs her back with a chuckle.
"I got it, but I think you will like the dress I have picked out." She giggled, letting go of him, "Now I'm going to go change and I'll be right back."
Axel just nods before sitting back down on his bed, picking his book back up.
Kelly heads back to her room, pulling a silver dress with the skirt a pretty violet color. She quickly changes into before stepping in front of her full length mirror. The upper part of the dress had beads and sequins that covered Kelly's chest and the lower part of her waist, the neck line cut from under her left arm but reached around and covered her right shoulder...leaving one arm completely exposed and the other in a mesh sleeve. The bottom of the dress stopped at her knees and she finished off the outfit with a pair of light grey, platform sandals.
"There, I think everyone will agree with this dress...and I'm sure Chris will love it too." Kelly giggles as she turns in front of the mirror a couple of times and looking at the form fitting dress.
She quickly brushes her short black hair before returning to Axel's room.
"Tada!" She said happily, twirling in the doorway when he looked up.
"Well don't you look pretty Kel." Axel chuckles as his sister's enthusiastic twirls.
"Thanks, Axel. Do I get big bro's stamp of approval?"
"Yea...you got my stamp of approval. Still a shame that it's dickhead you are dolling yourself up for, you probably date any guy you want..." Axel sighs as he stands up. "You could always date Mika, at least I know he's a good guy."
"I've told you, Chris is a good guy once you get to know him. You worry too much big bro." She reassures him, hugging him again.
"I will take your word for it, but I'm not going to believe it til I see it," Axel said, hugging his little sister tightly, "now let's get you back so he can pick you up."
"Alright, he could always just come pick me up from here." She suggested, looking up at him.
"But that would require him to know where this house is, which I don't want...we can deal with that if you are still dating him when you move in." Axel releases Kelly and starts heading downstairs.
"Then maybe you will learn to get along with him." Kelly giggles as she follows Axel down and outside to his large truck.
The siblings drive a couple minutes down the road to a rather run down part of town, pulling into the cracked driveway of their parent's house.
"God, I sometimes forget how much I hate this house..." Axel mutters as he turns the truck off, gets out and looks at the rundown, dirty house.
"Yea, but it's still home...at least for another year." Kelly said, getting out and walking up beside him.
"Axel, Kelly you two should have called or something to let us know you were on the way." Mrs. Harris said, opening the front door and walking over.
"Didn't think of it sorry mom." Kelly said, clasping her hands behind her back.
"It's alright Kelly, and Axel you are looking well. You should stop by and visit more, and I mean for longer periods of time than a couple minutes to pick up Kelly." The short, older woman said, hugging him.
"Sorry, with the band and everything I'm usually busy." He lied, lightly hugging her back. "Great, looks like he's here Kel." He groaned when he saw the bright red Charger pull up to the curb.
"Hello beautiful, look at how pretty you are." Chris said, hugging Kelly around the waist when she runs over to him.
"Thanks Chris." Kelly giggles, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Ready to go?"
"Yep, I'll see you later tonight Axel." Kelly said, looking over her shoulder at him and waving at him.
"H-hello Axel, it's um...nice to see you again." Chris said nervously, making sure to keep Kelly in between him and Axel.
"Hey Webb."
"Y-yes?!"
"Make sure to take care of Kelly and make sure she gets home safe, or it will be your ass I come after...are we clear?" Axel asked, crossing his arms and staring down at the shorter guy.
"U-understood."
"Axe stop intentionally trying to scare him." Kelly rolled her eyes and let go of Chris to run over and hug Axel one more time. "Now let's go Chris or we are going to be late."
"Okay, I will get her back safely." Chris said before quickly getting back into his car. "Kelly why does your brother have to be so terrifying?"
"He's just protective of me, he doesn't mean anything by it I promise." Kelly said, playfully rolling her eyes as they pull away from the curb and head towards the party.
