Snow

Just in case you're wondering, this is a bit of a deviation of the actual lore obviously- just a thought of what would happen if Tali never saw snow before. Also, Yasuo's OOC up the ass  but ignore it l u m f o w but fuck it you're looking for a fluffy story so here goes ;)

"Master! Master! Wake up!"

You pretended to ignore her and started snoring loudly.

"Master. I know you're ignoring me. Can you please wake up?"

You almost complied.

Almost.

Instead, you casually drape your arm over your face and continued to snore.

Suddenly, you feel two hard stones pelt your back hard enough to move you forwards- directly off your cot.

You fall hard onto the floor and groan, turning your face towards Taliyah.

She's looking at you with an apologetic smile; even though you feel it's not that sincere.

"Sorry, Yasuo, but you deserved that for not acting awake."

You hum.

"Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't."

"Alright no, that solidified it. You definitely deserved that."

You mock-pout before you look at her with a slightly more strict face and ask, "So why'd you make me wake up at..." You turn to face the clock beside your bed.

"5 AM?"

Her face grew into a smile before she abruptly pointed to the window and said,

"Look."

You pick yourself up from the floor (with a few more pathetic groans to piss off Tali) and walk to the window, looking outside.

You see tiny little... raindrops?

No. They're snowflakes.

Turning your gaze downwards to the ground, you see the previously mild grassy fields completely covered in thick, white snow.

You turn around and see Taliyah looking at you with a huge smile and an expectant gaze.

You pause, trying to wonder why exactly snow falling is such a big deal when it happens every year when it hits you like a Malphite ultimate.

She's never seen snow before.

She's from Shurima. A desert covered country.

No wonder she was amazed at it.

Smiling, you say,

"Guess you've never seen snow before, little Sparrow?"

Her eyes lit up.

"Is that what's it's called? Snow?" She moved towards you and smudged her face against the window, eyes and face filled with unabashed wonder.

It was endearing, and you can't help but smile a bit wider.

Leaning backwards just a bit, you ask her,

"Want to see it firsthand instead of through a glass?"

You thought her grin couldn't get wider. Evidently, Taliyah breaks reality.

She opens your door and dashes out.

Your cry of "Wait, it's cold out there-" goes unheard. Groaning, you walk over to your closet and open it, quickly grabbing two winter coats graciously given to you by the Summoners, not even thinking if it would fit Taliyah or not.

You dash out after, and you realize you have to go down two flights of creaky stairs to get to the front door.

You groan but not loudly. It is 5 am, after all, and you know quite a few champions do not enjoy being woken up before noon.

Like you.

You could spare an excuse for Taliyah though.

You go down the flight of stairs carrying two thick coats as fast as you can without making too much noise and eventually reach Taliyah at the front door.

She already seemed to have gone outside and was shivering.

"Why didn't you tell me it was cold?!"

You throw the winter coats to the ground and facepalm, now not caring if you woke up the other champions or not.

You were getting too old for this shit.

"I did! You just ran off too fast for me to tell you." You shake your head good-naturedly.

Her face changes from accusatory to apologetic.

"I'm sorry! I was just too excited!"

"It's fine. Just put the coat on and wait for me next time. Please."

Keeping up with an excited Taliyah was a challenge.

You pick up a coat and she does too. It feels snug on you, a perfect fit. Gods bless the Summoners and their magic of knowing sizes.

"Um...Master?"

You look over at Taliyah and barely stifle a laugh.

The coat, while perfectly tailored for you, doesn't seem to apply to Taliyah who is now stuck with a twice her size, large, puffy winter coat.

She looks at you frustratedly and asks "Why couldn't you pick a jacket in my size?!"

That breaks your resilience, and you break out laughing, clutching your sides.

"Well, maybe, if you didn't run off we could've gone to your room and got a coat in your size!" You barely scrape out from peals of laughter.

She pouts, before getting out of her temporary bout of frustration and runs out the front door.

You stop your laughing and start after her, leaving the boundaries of the Institute and into the snow.

Taliyah is already halfway through the field by the time you even set foot outside, and you quickly realize you have no shoes on.

Instead of running back, you sit down on the frosty ground and observe Tali looking up at the sky in wonder, snowflakes falling onto her hair and face.

It feels familiar, so familiar.

You quietly think back to the first time you saw snow with Yone.

"Is that what snow looks like, Yone?"

"Yes, little brother. That's snow."

"It looks so soft. Like a pillow!" Your tiny eyes light up in wonder, turning towards him.

Your brother chuckles. "It depends on the kind of snow, but it does look a bit like the feathers in a pillow."

He quietly turns back to the window, barely registering when you abruptly run out of the house to try jump into the snow.

"Yasuo, wait!" His cry was lost to your feeling of joy as you laugh wildly, jumping in and out of the snow like a snow leopard.

It seemed so long ago. You can barely remember it now; it's been so many years with you on the run, so many years since you killed him...

Your flashback was abruptly stopped by the feeling of snow thrown at your face.

You wipe your face to see Taliyah laughing at you.

Seems like she's discovered snowballs.

You shake your head free of the depressing trainwreck it was about to become and smirk, turning behind you.

Taliyah slowly walks over to peer at you before having a snowball thrown at her face at maximum velocity, aided by the wind.

"Oh, you are on!"

You quickly jump up and run to a nearby tree, narrowly dodging her next snowball.

You grin. She was going down.
