*Flashback*
I panted as I ran. I looked at my time: 4:27:30.
"Y/N?" a soft-spoken male queried.
"Piers, is that you?" I sought the truth. The male walked into the light, and I smiled with tears running down my face. It wasn't only tears that ran down my face. Sweat also rolled down my face as I was sweaty after running for four hours.
*End of flashback*
"PIERS NIVANS!" I yell.
"Uh-oh. What did I do wrong?" Piers grumbles to himself.
"You left her," Leon hisses.
"I didn't want to leave! I had to leave!" Piers yells back. I walk into the room.
"No need to yell at Dad," I snap.
"Dad? Him?" he mocks. I nod.
"Y/N Kennedy," I smile.
"Best agent the BSAA has," Dad comments with a smug smirk.
"Special Operations Unit, come to the meeting room," our captain speaks over the intercom. I look at Piers. We walk to the meeting room. I lean against a wall with my foot on the structure behind me.
"We have everyone?" the captain wonders.
"Agent Kennedy and Agent Kennedy," he says, then looks away. I scoff quietly.
"No trespassers, my ass," I mumble as the captain explains our mission.
"Ms. Kennedy, do you have something you wish to contribute?" he sarcastically remarks.
"I do. The place you want us to go does not like trespassers. You're going to want to knock out the guards, cut the power, and most of all, do not hurt the civilians, if any are left," I explain.
"How do you know this?" he demands.
"This has been my mission for the past five years. The mission has failed each time. I want the best agents we have. I am not losing my men," I snap, walking out of the room.
"Y/N/N!" Chris calls me.
"Yes, Chris?" I respond.
"Is everything okay? None of us has seen you snap like that," he admires.
"I'm on edge," I confess.
