"Wait, you guys never get to play Uno?" She asked the four men in front of her who were tilting their heads like anime characters.
"No." They all said in unison. She sighed. As an American immigrant who works as a Japanese voice actor and had the chance to actually play cards with these guys she's working with, it has to be Uno. But she was surprised that they didn't know how to play Uno, or even knew Uno. As expected from an Asian country anyways. She sighed as she got out the box of Uno cards from her bag.
"Then lemme teach y'all. Pretty easy."-
It wasn't easy. The men she was supposed to be teaching sat there on the floor, the instructions for the card game in hand. That's what they ended up with. The reason? She can't explain in Japanese. Sure, she gets to read Kanji characters in almost everyday of her life but once she spoke up without those scripts and notes, she's a gonner. She tried to explain it to them in English but these assholes are nodding at her like bubble heads in a car hood. Ryohei was the one reading the instructions out loud. Once he gets the instructions, he explains it to the other three. She gave them some cards in case they needed some physical explainations. It actually worked. The four men nodded and looked back at her, who was sitting and just staring at them bickering.
"(Name)-chan! We got the instructions now! Can we play?" Nobuhiko perked up as he looked at her with eyes sparkling like glitters in water. She nodded at them and gestured for them to sit in a circle next to her. She sat in between Ryohei and Yonaga, Nobuhiko next to Ryohei, and Eguchi next to Yonaga. Ryohei handed back (Name) the cards for her to shuffle it all up. Just from opening the box and letting the cards fall out of it, these men awed like it's the most awesome thing ever. Oh, the sheer excitement written on their faces will be torn once they get to actually play Uno.
(Name) shuffled the cards and they looked at her, waiting for her to drop seven cards in front of them. She just stared at them, an eyebrow perking up. As soon as she felt like the cards are shuffled properly, she set up half of the deck in the middle of the circle they made and took the half of the deck in her hands and shuffled again, but this time, it's a pretty fast shuffle. As she was done, she took one card and placed it in front of them until all of them have seven cards. She then proceeded to place the remaining deck of cards back into it's respective place and she commenced the game to start.
"Get ready to be rekt, bois."-
They got to decide on who's gonna drop a card first. Of course, as she commenced the game, it should be a good idea for her to drop the first card to get the game started. Bad idea. She dropped a 2 blue card. The next person next to her looked at his cards then back at her. Yonaga doesn't have any other blue cards.
"Hey, if you don't have the color blue, you can choose any color, as long as it's the same number in the deck." She said casually. Yonaga laughed nervously as he looked at the people around him. They were all anticipating him to drop a card, especially Eguchi who was sitting next to him. (Name) smirked at the man next to her as she already knew what that expression on his face has to say.
"If you don't have any number or a color relating to the card on the deck," she motioned the reserved cards in front of Yonaga in a tempting manner.
"You can take some cards in here." She said and Yonaga gulped. This is just the first game and yet it's getting heated. (Name) watched the man next to her drop a sweat as he picked up a card. As soon as he get to see the card he picked, his eyes go blank. It's not a color blue neither a number two. He placed the card in his deck and looked at (Name), who was smirking. She knew. Yonaga averted his eyes from her and took another card. This time, he sighed loudly. It's a 2, but not blue. It's a yellow. He gained composure and dropped the 2 yellow card. He turned to look at Eguchi.
